timothy g. greengrass ([info]greengrasses) wrote in [info]valesco,
Adamina was just starting to recover from that--that supposed contraction when she was struck with another one. She did not want to get up right now, she just wanted to curl up in a ball and sleep. Except she was way too big to do that, and first, she would want Tim to not be bleeding and to not have a--a black eye, for their window to not have a hole in it, and Daphne could not come right now, this wasn't--! The morning would have been fine, the afternoon--even in the evening!

AND WHY WAS THE PAIN THIS IS EXCRUCIATING, HOLY--VARIOUS DEITIES, SHE WAS NEVER HAVING ANOTHER CHILD. Those women who had three or more children? What were they even on, Adamina didn't think she was going to live through this ONE, what with the searing pain her now-fragile anatomy seemed to be suffering from.

She had to wait for the contraction to pass before getting up and trying to not burden the entirety of her weight onto Tim. If she had been able to speak, Adamina would definitely have told him that there'd be no need for St. Mungo's to deliver Daphne, since Apparating over there would probably squeeze her right out, but she had to refrain.

Nodding slightly, she took Tim's extended arm in as tight a grip as she could manage and felt a lurching feeling in anticipation of the suffocating squeeze she always got during this sort of travel.

Adamina looked down at her stomach reproachfully. Oh, yeah. This one was going to demand a lot of attention.
