Who: Weasleys :)
What: breakfast in bed because of...D:
When: Sunday morning

It had been a long night at the burrow, what with all the boys and some of their confusion and--and Molly. Arthur had tried his best to take care of things so she didn't have to worry about burning dinner or the boys fighting. Of course, the boys still fought and dinner still had a bit of that crispy black charring to it (not a lot, just a little!), but he hoped that it was a little better. Now that it was morning and the boys (well, some of them) were sleeping still, maybe he would feel okay with bringing everything up.

He'd snuck down to the kitchen to make her breakfast in bed and was now carefully knocking the door open, the heavy tray taking up both of his hands. He set the food down carefully on his side of the bed before moving to sit down next to Molly. He placed a gentle kiss on her forehead, hoping that the simple action would rouse her. He didn't want to actually wake her up, but he didn't want the food to go to waste, either. "Mol," he murmured softly, his hand now brushing some out-of-place hair away from her face.

Arthur wasn't sure what he would do, if something were to happen to Molly or any of the boys. He tried to push those thoughts away as Molly sat up, focusing all his attention instead on her. "Morning," he said, leaning over and giving her another quick kiss. He studied her face, looking for any signs that he needed to go into comforting mode. "Did you sleep well?" he asked, his hand once again brushing through her hair.

He had never been terribly good at dealing with change--death certainly wasn't an exception to that. He just hoped that he would be able to do enough for Molly.

"I think one of the boys slipped me a sleeping potion," Molly said with a smirk, figuring it was Gideon's doing, or maybe even Gleny. She couldn't remember having anything to drink, but with the hysteria she'd found herself in last night, it was hard to tell what she'd been doing at all.

Which was terrifying. Having six children to care for, make sure they were all safe and secure, and then trying to be apart of the adults and not just some whimpering bystander who did nothing more but create background noise. Molly was a natural born leader, it was the reason why she was able to run her brood with such ease. It was painful not being able to help, and now that her mind was out of the slumber the potion had put her under, it was whirring around like mad.

"We're not safe at all, Arthur," she muttered, wondering where all her tears from last night had gone. She couldn't have run out of them?

Arthur was very aware of that. Even back when the Ministry was all out of sorts, he had an inkling that anything could happen in the blink of an eye to change things and--now it had. It wasn't to them or to their boys, no, but it didn't change anything. They were still affected, they still had to do something...their security and comfort had been breached, compromised. And all because of what, some silly scuffle about blood lineage? It was the most mundane, ridiculous thing to be so caught up on and yet...

He wrapped his arms around her, resting his head against hers. "No, we're not. The wards can only do so much for so long," he murmured, adding reinforcing the protections on the house to his list of things to do that afternoon. Make it untraceable, unplottable, anything. "I think...we should work on putting up more security. I'd rather be safe than sorry..."

"And what if they break through?"

Molly shrugged; feeling so pessimistic was completely against her nature. There was rarely a time when she couldn't see the positive spin of things, but right now? All she could imagine was The Burrow's front door being blasted open and her family being taken down one by one. "We can't possibly stop death eaters, Arthur, if they want to get us, they're going to get us."

Dear God, it was unbelievable how quickly the war had been slammed into her face. She had always been aware, she'd always been concerned, but Fabian and Gideon's little---gig with The Order had always been at the back of her mind, something she didn't think about regularly, but now. Now all she could imagine was a death eater's mask and the laughter behind it as they took down two innocent people, her parents---

"I want my boys to be safe, Arthur, I want them to never have to---deal with this war."

Arthur let out a soft sigh, not exactly keeping eye contact with Molly. "Well...we can't go down without a fight. I'm not going to let them get to you or the boys if I can help it, Molly," he said softly. He let his fingers brush through her hair, the gears in his head now turning. "Molly--I know, but. What are we supposed to do?" If they could find their parents, if they could get to them how could they possibly keep all their boys safe?

It was almost too much to think about. He would want to be there, to keep them all safe. But that wasn't feasible with his job and--maybe he could figure a way to work from home. Would his boss be understanding about the paranoia and worry of his wife?

"No matter what, I'm going to fix up the wards, add more security. Even if they can get through them, I'd rather make it as hard as possible if I can."
