Diagon Alley Attacks --- Backdated for Friday --- Open to All!
"Ex--cuse, me---move, move, move!"

Didn't people know how to act in a time of crisis? You didn't stand around screaming bloody murder, staring at the rays of hexes and jinxes while you waited to get hit by one of them. You moved, you hid, you did whatever you could to stop the bloody death eaters that were interrupting the peace. You didn't become a distraction or something that could cause even more harm. Emmeline jumped and twisted and forced herself through the crowd of people surging in every which direction. This was going to be such a disaster.

Emmeline wished she hadn't offered to take the package to Flourish and Blotts. The package was too delicate to let an owl deliver it, Patrick had to head home early because of his daughter, and seeing as it was only a five minute walk, hey! Get some sun, earn some brownie points from the cousin who was constantly harassing her to do stuff other than ogle at her nerdy boyfriend! Haa. She wished she'd just refused and taken on the extra paperwork, but that meant that Edward would have probably taken the walk to Flourish and Blotts and Emmeline knew for a fact that he would have either frozen in terror or with his bad luck been shot in the head once the first death eaters showed up.

Okay, stop the morbid thoughts.

The door of Calliope's jingled pleasantly, completely ignorant of the chaos that was going on just down the block. Emmeline knew it wouldn't be long before they reached the publisher. "Edward! We've got to go!" she shouted, trying to keep her voice from sounding too stressed. "Come on!"

There wasn't anything more that Bianca hated more than death eaters. As she shifted into position to knock a waterfall of bricks from crushing some innocent civilians, her mind fumed with anger at the causes of this destruction. What, what did they gain from this? The killing of random people? Bianca had grown up in a home that stayed neutral in the war, but kept their enemies closer than she would have liked---she knew exactly the kind of people who were hiding behind those masks.

Like that one. Bianca spotted a death eater taking his sweet time down the alley, and she set her sights on him. He was probably some rich pureblood who had learned nothing in life but to follow You-Know-Who's orders, because that is what you did. There were no other choices in life besides following the Dark Lord's word, because if you tried to get away, if you disagreed---

"Hold it right there!" she shouted, "Under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Magic, hold your fire!" Bianca shot the preliminary warning hex at the death eater's feet, but wasted no time in hurling a disarming spell and throwing up a shield. She was ready for some dirty fighting.

"Under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Magic, hold your fire!" Chester mocked dodging her spells as he turned back to face the girl who was yelling at him. And here he thought he'd only have the one fight today, hopefully this one would be a bit more of a challenge, but he really didn't expect much.

"Tell me, doll, does that ever really work? 'Please, sir, if you don't mind, stop firing and let me take you in.'" he twirled his wand between his fingers a bit before fixing it on her. He shot off a few hexes lazily while he approached her.

There were rules to be followed, it was the only way to keep the peace and sanity of the country. It was also habit, to shout off the warnings because sometimes you did just have idiots running around not really trying to cause some harm. Bianca wasn't flustered by the death eater's taunts; she'd heard enough over her time as a hitwizard and refused to let them get to her. The second you found herself upset with the things they had to say or did was when they'd won.

Bianca sent a volley of nasty spells you were supposed to save for later in a fight. She needed this death eater out of commission right now before he hurt an innocent bystander, and by his demeanor and tone he was one of those kind of death eaters, the ones who thought it was a game until they were smacked down with the consequences.

She refused to speak back, and reinforced her shield before attempting to disarm him once again.

Oh this one wasn't talking back at all. Well that was no fun at all. "Aww, are you giving me the silent treatment already? But we haven't even exchanged names---ow mother fucker!" Chester pressed his hand against his forearm only to pull it back and find blood.

"Oh, fiesty" he said laughing more than one should taking a cut like that the arm. "Although I'm pretty sure that's not a Ministry approved spell dear, unless they changed their standards lately. Here let me show you some more that you're not suppose to use either."
