Edward!
It was her goal for the night to be as normal and happy as possible.

For a woman who has been abducted by death eaters, dated and fell in love with one, and continues to fight in an underground society trying to end the reign of terror the death eaters have thrust upon the United Kingdom, it really wasn't as easy as one might think.

Edward, though, made it easy to be normal. He was nice, and sweet, and didn't pressure her into anything that she might not want to do. Not that she had been pressured before, it was just nice knowing that she had some bit of control over the pace of their relationship, and with the way things went. Edward was just a good guy, and that was what she needed in her life. No drama. No anxiety. No worries.

But of course, that overwhelmed her. He was too nice, and almost naive in some ways. The attack on Diagon Alley had once again forced Emmeline to realize that her life and the lives of those around her was never going to be danger free. Even if the death eaters hadn't specifically come after her, they could because they had. If it got out that she and Edward were serious, who knew what a death eater with a vendetta against her and the Order might do? She couldn't risk being the cause of another person's pain.

Be normal! Try and be normal, "Thank you for the ice cream," she cooed, tilting her chin up toward Edward. They'd stopped at a muggle shoppe, seeing as both were still a bit wary of Diagon Alley.

A movie? Long moving pictures that told stories! The few Edward had seen he enjoyed immensely. They had watched a few in Muggle Studies, only perking his interest to attempt to see them 'in a real setting.' But with the whole paying situation for most of them, he had just ended up either not going or apparating into the bathroom then walking in.

Of course he had left some form of pay to see the show! Just-- in a more less-stress inducing way than fumbling with coins and papers he didn't understand.

"I saw this one movie in which it showed a minotaur, in addition to some ghouls interacting with the main characters. I was very impressed with that kind of imagination. I wonder if that is being played somewhere," Edward spoke, his eyebrows going high in an attempt to remember more about the pictures he had enjoyed so much seeing.

"I wish we had something of the equivalence, don't you?"

Emmeline smiled widely at Edward's obvious excitement and she nodded, though perplexed at how muggles had managed to recreate a mintour and ghouls. Not that Emmeline had ever seen a minotour in real life, but she would certainly be able to tell a fake one from a real one, right? Muggles were so strange.

"Yes, and I wish we could watch quidditch matches like they do football, it's so much easier to follow," she said, tossing out her up of ice cream and taking the moment to grasp Edward's hand. See, they could absolutely do normal, at least for the night. Emmeline would allow herself to be the most normal, caring girlfriend that had ever existed because she deserved that! Edward deserved it!

"Maybe there'll be a horror flick," she said, wiggling her free fingers in front of Edward's face in a poor attempt to spook him. Though, she felt like she'd nearly spooked herself, as the overwhelming feeling of being watched came over her. Emmeline turned to look around, and spotted a gaggle of muggle teenagers standing near by, and assumed that they couldn't control their hormones well enough to handle a girl in a skirt passing them by.

She did tug Edward a bit closer though, involuntarily.

His brow raised slowly, amused at Emmeline's antics. In all honesty, Edward severely questioned the effectiveness of how scary a movie could actually be. To muggles, of course they must appear more believable. But to them, it would seem a bit different, wouldn't it? Not primitive, of course not, but just--- Edward honestly doubted he would actually become frightened by anything that muggle films showed him. It was flat and far away! There was no indication of being thrown into the actual life or death situations that the story portrayed! It was illogical to be scared of something that wasn't actually happening, wasn't it?

Of course, this thought continued in his head until his mind was made up that he had to see one of these movies for his hypothesis to be proven either right or wrong. Oh, the woes of a Ravenclaw brain. Always needing more.

"I would like to see one, I think. I've never seen that kind before," Edward nodded his head, glancing for a few moments behind them. Turning back, he smiled at Emmeline enjoying the moment they were in at that moment. He too had thrown away his empty ice cream up, feeling much freer in his actions. Not that he would change anything about how they were now.

Well--- maybe he would change the loud noises that went along with being in a city: crashing trash cans, groups of people talking loudly, animal noises and muggle horns had never been things he particularly enjoyed hearing.
