Now, she was knew she had to try and stay calm, but having things shoved in her face wasn't exactly helping. Jerking back slightly, Odette pushed her lips together tight as Seth spoke. Her grip on the crushed article tensed, her face becoming flatter and flatter by the second.
Try to understand where he was coming from. Don't start yelling back. Half of whatever he is going to say will be meant to get a rise out of her. Stay calm. Maintain breathing. Breathing was important. Just let Seth say whatever he needed to say to eventually feel better. Odette wished she could have closed her eyes, but she knew that would only fuel him even further.
Once he had finished, Odette took a deep breath. "Look--- I didn't find out until last night after the match," she started, her head tilting to the side slightly. "And it's not--- I didn't know, they just sort of told me. What was I suppose to say?"
Before giving Seth another chance to speak, Odette shook her head and spoke again. "And we are, I just--- I'm sorry." She bit her lip for a moment, knowing that what she said next would really put her out on a limb. "I hope we can still work together--- to fix everything."
