Heidi
It had been a long time since Henry had a girlfriend, and he was enjoying it very much. The past...it'd been nearly a month, really, had flown by with how completely enthralled with Heidi he'd become. Henry was very good at schedules and at keeping things going at a pace he believed----it was also hard for him not to think of things in a business-like manner but---oh, she had his head spinning, he really could not explain his behavior from the last few weeks. He was sure not to overwhelm her, that Heidi felt like she had every right to not see him some day, or not. If she wanted to hold his hand, he'd surely let her, and if she wanted to kiss him, then, well, who was he to deny her of that?

Spring was already flourishing early on in the season. There was a park two blocks from the restaurant where their lunch date took place, so in a not-so-subtle, personally-thought ingenious manner, Henry suggested a walk to prolong the date. He wasn't really one for walking, or the outdoors, but Henry decided that dealing with things he may not enjoy to have some good time with Heidi was a proper new approach to life.

"I should bring a balloon home for my niece," Henry said thoughtfully, squeezing Heidi's hand as he spotted a vendor. Leanne always had a little treat waiting for her when Henry knew she was coming, and balloons were one of her favorites.

Focusing on Henry had really been a lifesaver in the past few weeks. It wasn't as if she was still fully over losing her husband, after all, and making a big change like starting a new job had stresses of its own. She'd been able to mostly fend-off those stresses by spending time with Henry (and going to see that shrink that she'd been more or less forcibly referred to) about things.

The doctor was at least cautiously supportive of her dating again. If it helped her to get over and understand what she had gone through, great. He did remind her at least once a session that she couldn't just keep not giving him her last name and expect him to be all right with this, though. It wasn't as if it didn't say it on her nameplate at work, she'd just -- kept the nameplate mostly hidden behind paperwork whenever Henry had come in to see her.

She just wasn't ready to tell him everything about her past. Just thinking about Henry knowing about her little ... incident with Drystan made her want to faint with embarrassment.

"Around one, usually. I can't stay out for long tomorrow because we're super busy, but --" she smiled, "Lunch would be good."
