"Please lift your arms out to the side."

It had taken a lot of strength to keep her voice from shaking. Danielle pulled out her wand to start what would look like a regular physical exam. Her mind had just been focused on seeing Donovan, not what she'd actually have to do, not all the trouble she could get into if they found out who she was. She'd have to think about that later, when she went home and realized that Donovan wouldn't be coming into bed that night, that he might not be home for an undetermined amount of nights. How she was going to handle this, knowing that she could do nothing more than think about him, than pray for him like Jonas always said she should---

She watched the hitwizard out of the corner of her eye slowly make his way down the other cells. As soon as he was out of her sight she let her shoulders sag and her stern, professional expression disappeared and she looked completely lost and heartbroken.

"Donovan--" Her arms flung themselves around his neck, pulling him so tightly to her that she was sure she wouldn't be able to breathe. "What are we going to do, tell me what to do."

He had to have a plan, he must have a plan. In all the years she'd known this man, there had never been a situation Donovan could not get out of, there was not a problem he could not talk his way out of. Donovan must know what was going to happen, he was probably ready to laugh at how worried she was. Danielle kissed his neck, taking in his scent. Oh, how could she go home tonight without him? Every fiber of her being wanted to make a run for it. Run away, she wanted to run away.
