Open to Quidditch Players + Guests
Of course the party had a slight theme of blue and yellow. It wasn't blatantly obvious, but as Bess shifted the United blue napkins to the perfect angle, she couldn't help but beam at how proud she was of the entire gathering. People were happy to see each other, mingling and looking relaxed; the party was exclusive to the players and their guests, so there were no cameramen or journalist---the only pictures being taken were by the players themselves, who seemed to be having a good time goofing off before work began again. Bess had really never thought about being one of those wives, that hosted parties and entertained guests, but---she had to admit that it was quite fun.

The garden looked beautiful. Bess wasn't quite sure how Drystan had so easily managed to get the space, but she wasn't going to complain. Her husband had tricks up his sleeve that she'd probably never fully figure out. Plus, she'd gotten her sister-in-law out of her flat and now Penelope was somewhere around here...hopefully talking to a handsome bloke (but just talking! Only talking!).

Bess couldn't be more pleased with herself. She let out a breath and shook her head at a few players who were on their fourth glass of champagne.

He let out a sigh when she broke the silence and wondered why she was trying to make him feel awful. At least---Thomas knew that Delilah wasn't being deliberately mean, he knew that much, but couldn't she see how uncomfortable he felt? It wasn't her, really, she seemed nice enough to talk to, and she was certainly pretty, it was the idea of having any sort of relationship with a woman that made him cringe and pull into himself. He'd been hurt, badly, and maybe was unfairly punishing people in his life because of it.

Not that she was in his life, but she'd definitely been making it a point of making herself the center of his attention.

Thomas let out a breath and reached out for drink, taking a quick gulp and then pulling a face at her that said, 'happy?' He nearly choked on her words, however and swallowed roughly. See what she likes? He really needed to find a potion that stopped a person from blushing because everything that came out of this girl's mouth made his face and ears go red, which was not at all appropriate for a famous quidditch player. She just---needed to stop being inappropriate.

"I'm not---" he started, because he was so used to telling people that he was fine and that he was not stressed out, but Delilah would never leave him alone if he denied this fact, "It's just---"

If he assumed she wanted to pursue some sort of romantic relationship then everything from this point on would be put under a microscope, everything he said would be examined in his own head and if he told her that he didn't want anything like that they she could get offended for him thinking that----He thought far too much for his own good.

He sighed. "What do you want to talk about?"

Delilah just beamed at him when he finally took a sip of his drink, feeling all sorts of giddy. She turned in her seat to face him properly and realized that she really had no idea what to talk about. So far her goal was just getting him to talk to her period, and she really hadn't thought much farther than that.

"Er. Um. To be honest I have no idea." She said with a laugh. No point in trying to hide it, she was terrible at lying and trying to hide things. "Waitwaitwait, I know. Let's play game. Twenty questions? Totally childish but whatever. It'll be fun and a quick way to get to know each other." Delilah grinned as she talked animatedly. "Its also the quickest way to find out if we actually have anything in common. Soooo. Out of all the teams you've played for, including school, which do you like best."
