EVERYONE! PARTY THREAD
Running her fingers through the folds of her dress, Glenda let no pleat or invisible lint go unattended to as she sat. Her dress was far too beautiful for those kinds of blemishes, and the task had proven to be a manageable distraction that was getting her through the rest of the night until it was professionally and socially acceptable to leave.

Oh, that sounded horrible. She really shouldn't be so unwilling to attend her own party. The WWN had really outdone itself, inviting practically the whole of the Wizarding World to help 'welcome her back' to Britain's airwaves. The network had been more than happy to accept her back when she (Sturgis) had contacted them, but had made no mention of something like this until last week after everything had been finalized. All she had asked for was her job back, but apparently her celebrity status had grown substantially with her absence and things like this had become necessary.

She had spent the first good part of the party clutching tightly onto Sturgis' arm, feeling not only uneasy but lost as witch after wizard continued to appear in front of her, asking questions, telling jokes and attempting to have ernest conversations with the woman of the hour. It felt strange having so many familiar faces and names rushed back upon her, and many times already she had wished she was her formal self. If this had been three years ago, Glenda knew she would have chatted up the entire room already instead of giving half-empty smiles, dutiful nods and soft answers.

Now, though, Sturgis had long ago left her side. A tactic she knew no doubt had been purposefully planned down to the minute. It had generated the same feeling within Glenda when he had shown up an hour early before this whole thing started, asking if she minded escorting him, and then offering to drop Tristan off at her Aunt and Uncle's to ensure that she would have enough time to get ready because she hadn't even gotten dressed yet. She knew he was only trying to help with her readjustment process, which made her love, and hate, him more because of it.

Letting out a quiet sigh, Glenda looked up to catch glimpses of the party from outside. Her aimless wandering had lead her to party's outside grounds, a rather nice garden area with sparkling lights and nearby fountain. A few people were nearby, but she didn't mind much. The atmosphere reminded her of Italy.

OOC: soo it's safe to assume Gleny basically knows everyone, WWN would've made sure all friends were here LOL and if she didn't, all famous people were invited anyway so YAY

This was where Dianna belonged. She looked fabulous, she was getting asked if she was part of some new WWN show and she got to laugh at the reporters and tell them no, no, she was just your ordinary girl, and all anyone cared about here was how you looked on the outside. Dianna eyed the crowd, sure that everyone here had a deep, dark secret they were trying to conceal, and she loved it. She straightened her shoulders and nudged Felix slightly, brimming with excitement and emotion. This was just so exciting.

"I want to thank you again, for bringing me," she said, unable to take her eyes away from Glenda Prewett for a moment as she walked past. Dianna turned to Felix and smiled from ear to ear, "I'm having such a lovely time, this is absolutely---just amazing."

She had really needed a night to dress up and look pretty, and she was so grateful of Felix at this moment.

Felix, on the other hand, was struggling to not let on how extremely uncomfortable he was in that moment. There were cameras, reporters, and celebrities! And he was being photographed, asked questions, and glad-handed! This was definitely not where he belonged. His only solace was that Dianna looked so beautiful and happy that it was actually easy to smile alongside her.

Bugger all. He was going to have to loosen up. Dianna was going to catch on that he was not a Cassanova like his brother and laugh him off for someone else. He certainly was not the fittest bloke in this crowd by a long shot.

"I'm glad I could detract you from the museum for a night," Felix said with a shy smile. "I was running out of excuses to revisit your exhibit and honestly, you're saving me right now because I generally make a fool out of myself at these things." His admittance came with a shake of his head. "I never know what to say when the press asks about my brother, but thankfully, they've been much more interested in you."

"They can survive a night without me!" Dianna giggled, beaming as he admitted that his frequent visits to the museum had not only been to try and analyze some of the Hobgoblins' scribbles. She still blushed at the idea of the photographers being interested, even if she'd been silently quite delighted in how much attention she was getting. She was also letting all the journalists know that her dress was a custom made dress by Meredith Fielding, so hopefully her friend's name would get published in the papers somewhere! But she really should be paying more attention to her rather dreamy date, because he was the reason she was out and about in the first place! Dianna could just not thank him enough.

"Let's dance," she said with a wide grin, "then you can avoid all the questions and I can show you off!"

Because he was her date now, hers, and she had to let anyone she might possibly know that was in attendance who she was here with, and let them see how handsome and sweet he was. Dianna grabbed his hand and led (pulled) Felix toward the dance floor. She hadn't danced in heels in quite some time, but she was sure she could handle it.
