Thomas + Magpies?
Billie knew, before she even stepped foot into McCarthy’s Pub that she was going to receive a warm welcome from the patrons there. The interior of the place was decked out in Black and White, jersey’s and lights that formed the words ‘Montrose Magpies’ blinked and flashed on the walls, making the smirk she wore cut deeper into one cheek as she looked around, not even able to take a seat at the bar without people whispering about who she was. It didn’t take long before a couple of guys approached her, asking if she was who they thought she was. Normally she’d tell them to fuck off, because she was someone who liked her animosity, but she was in a celebratory mood – not only had they won the game, but the teammate she had gotten closer to over the last couple of weeks had given that slimy Kestrel the beat down he deserved. Overall, it was a productive day for all the Magpies.

Because she had some time to kill, she joined the group of rowdy fans, her hand wrapped around the handle of a pint glass, a brow arching up at the somewhat attractive man who kept grinning at her. She knew the look all too well - that ‘I’m going to get in your pants tonight’ look – but she just kept rolling her eyes, looking towards the door frequently to make sure Thomas hadn’t entered yet.

She had a good buzz going by the time she looked to the doorway one more time, and finally saw the teammate she most considered a friend to be standing there. Billie grinned deviously and stood up on her chair whistling loudly to get everyone’s attention.

“Ladies and Gentleman…Thomas McCormack!”

She made a broad sweeping gesture with her arm towards the door, her grin growing in size as she got the reaction she knew she was going to get – the entire bar started cheering and clapping, Billie included, and some of them even went over to the other Quidditch star to shake his hand, and tell him what a great job he did on the pitch. Hopping down from her chair, she finally approached him with there was room, two full pints in her hand, one which she would extend out to Thomas.

“How’s the arm?”

She asked, once again smiling. She figured he needed a mood booster, and being surrounded by people who praised him for his actions in the game instead of scolding him seemed as good a plan as any. She had even invited some of the other members from their team to join in on their fun, but she really couldn’t be too sure of how many were going to take her up on the offer.

Sneak out? How the fuck was she supposed to manage that? This bar was very much a Magpies structure, dating back to at least when her father had been on the team. Some of it's interior had changed, but Odette still remembered some of it from when her father used to bring her here. There was no sneaking out when fans were involved, so all she could manage was a surly response to Seth flicked in between her smiles to everyone else.

How exactly had he managed to drag her in here? Literally. There were no doubt large holes now formed in the base of her heels from the amount of protest she had put up before getting forced here. Stupid Seth, stupid Thomas---

Thomas! Her eyes narrowed at the sight of his blurry hair, though she quickly sought to smother it. Now, that wasn't right. She had said (more like verbally abused) her peace about his little stunt, and the outcome of the game had been a win, so.... the right thing to do would be to celebrate. She supposed.

Letting out a short huff, Odette jumped from her chair. Well she couldn't be over here with Seth while everyone else was over there. That would be poor celebrating. Not to mention bad press for any that thought to make something out of it. Plus, the thought of even alluding to her and Seth drinking without a group setting felt like something she was not quite ready to experience.

Bumping herself next to Billie, Odette quickly pushed some hair back out of her face as she snatched her drink from Seth's hands. She made sure to at least send out a generally unpleasant glare before raising her drink with a trained smile. "To our first win of the season."

He blushed deeply at Billie's couch comment, having woken up with a killer hangover in her living room a few weeks ago, the last thing he remembered from the night before being that he'd tried to snog her. At least he hadn't done something remarkably stupid (lots of people kissed when drunk---right?), just a little bit stupid. Maybe a lot stupid, but not remarkably. Thomas' eyes widened with a smile and shake of his head, trying to get the point of 'next topic' across to Billie, and was glad for Odette's appearance (and Seth's shot).

Somehow, there was another drink in his hand (these fans really knew how to show their support), and he raised his glass to Odette's for the cheer. The whole bar seemed to have been watching and cheered along with them, and Thomas was beginning to feel like the champion he had been back in March. Sure, he felt like his personal life was still out of control and definitely out of his control, but at least they were winners again.

He leaned over to talk into Odette's ear, as otherwise he would have to shout to get his voice over the loudness of the crowd, "I promise, no more mental breakdowns for the rest of the season!"
