Wedding Guests!! Weeee!
Carys was glad to finally put those dance lessons her mother had forced her to take to some good use. Her dress twirled quite nicely with the waltz she and Drake opened up the dance floor with, and Carys found herself quite impressed with her husband. Her husband. Ha! That was something Carys never thought she'd think, or say, or have. She'd been very content in just living life day to day, but the idea of having someone to be there along the hopefully long way was awfully nice. And Drake was awfully nice to look at too, so that helped a lot.

Of course she hadn't agreed to marry him (because he'd asked her! She'd never let him live that down) just because he was handsome, even if she was sure to rub that into her sisters' faces at every chance. There were other factors that led her to accept, but those thoughts and words were for quiet times when she was feeling overly emotional and not for the dance floor.

The song gracefully slid into a slower tune and this time more couples joined the newlyweds (holy hell!) on the dance floor. Carys smiled at their guests, glad that they'd been able to make it and even happier that they all looked to be having a good time. Her head tilted up to smirk at Drake, ready to make some hilarious comment about Martin and the fire dancers, but Carys found herself at a loss for words as the secret she'd been keeping since right before she put on her dress came back to the forefront of her mind.

Instead she just smiled and dropped her head to his chest, not wanting to ruin the night.

Tristan

Who could really deny a surprise mini holiday to Hawaii? Psyke had been, of course, but it was the first tropical, exotic visit she'd made with Tristan, and was loving every second of it. Psyke loved the idea of a spur of the moment trip, and the fact that it was a secret wedding for two high profile quidditch players? Even better! She was always one for the dramatics, and this was definitely the way to go.

Psyke pulled her head back away from Tristan's as they danced in a slow circle, even if the music was a little more upbeat. Her fiance had been amazingly good at her lack of wedding planning, for they haven't even set a date. Psyke didn't want to rush the good time they were in, and as much as she wanted Tristan to be her husband, it was still scary to think about how a marriage could change everything. They were so happy right now, why risk turning everything upside down like it had happened to her once before?

"I believe we should schedule impromptu portkeys to various places in the world more often," Psyke said with a sagely nod.

Tristan had been glad to see that he was still able to surprise her, even if Carys had to take most of the credit for this particular event. He smiled, looking over to Psyke once they'd separated enough to be able to see each other's faces properly.

"I think we should. I think Carys had the right idea making this away from the public eye, all things considered." He wondered if Psyke would want to do the same -- his own fame and her own last wedding taken into account. He wouldn't mind it, since the idea of media being there to ruin a day that special wasn't altogether appealing.

"Perhaps somewhere more exotic after this. Africa? I hear safaris are all the rage -- or was I misinformed?" He leaned in to kiss her briefly and then glanced to Carys and her now-husband. At least they looked happy, whatever skepticism he had toward Drake.

"I don't know how keen I am about traipsing through the savanna in my six-inch heels," because obviously, she was not going to give up her pumps for a trip like that. As much as Psyke had grown to being used to getting dirty and messy because of her daughter, there were just some things the former model would not give up. She smiled prettily at Tristan though, letting her fingers dance on the back of his neck.

Random portkey trips were definitely doable, however. It would teach Lavender so much about the world, and it would give them time together and time to escape from everything. Just to be them. Psyke was happiest when she and Tristan were alone, away from the public eye and able to just lie on her couch or his, she thrived for that kind of quiet interaction these days. Trips around the world where they could just stay in a hotel for a day or two, or even just a night would be marvelous in so many ways.

"I suppose if we can stay out of the dirt," she amended, not wanting to dash Africa off the burgeoning list, "What about the Caribbean?" She'd only been to St. Lucia, and that was for a photo shoot.

"Who said anything about traipsing? I'd be carrying you the whole way, naturally. Or we could just do some sort of broom-tour." That sort of thing had to exist, right? He was sure he could arrange it somehow. That wouldn't be very inconspicuous, though. He chuckled, bringing a hand up to brush a spare bit of hair behind her ear.

"The Caribbean could be nice. It's warm there all year 'round, isn't it? The winter would be a good time to get on with things, since it'd be a low point in the season and your work seems to slow down a tad then too..." He really did want to make sure that things were perfect for Psyke, that she got exactly what she wanted out of their wedding -- they had to do it right, absolutely so. "Planning for next year would be easiest..." He trailed off. He knew they weren't in a rush -- but if she wanted to get married in January or February, he wouldn't tell her no. At the same time, Tristan didn't want her to feel trapped.
