thomas!
Rose was quite content with herself, despite the increasingly annoying nagging feeling forming in the back of her mind. When Thomas had quite bitterly mentioned his imposed diet for playoffs, the dessert restaurant her brother had brought her to once before quickly became the only appropriate place to go for this charity raffle date. How would she know that things like this were normally imposed? Griff had made no indication of changing their routine, only mentioning briefly that practice would be longer and to continue to uphold the traditional Catapult reputation during this time. It seemed rather simple, and she wasn't about to put herself in bad graces with anyone, her captain or her friend.
The restaurant was not wizard run, meaning the wait for their food would be a bit longer than they were use to--- but that created more time to catch up, right? Rose would be lying if she didn't admit she was beginning to feel incredibly guilty for evading Thomas since getting back together with Octavius. It had seemed like the right thing to do at the time, but now it just felt like she was lying to him. He was one of her closest friends, comparable only to Danielle who she had gleefully told weeks ago. Her only hope rested in that in that time, some life developments had happened of his own, therefore making it even between them.
That was horrible, wasn't it? Rose bit the inside of her lip, and hooked her foot tighter into her opposing heel. There would be a right time to bring all that up--- right now, choosing the right meal option was first priority.
"Ohh look, on this crepe you can get raspberry sauce, chocolate, and sprinkles. That's a whole lot of sugar right there," she pressed her lips together in an amused manner, smoothing the menu out on the table. A playful smile formed on Rose's face, and she accompanied this mockery with a couple of knowing nods.
