All Star Gala! For Saturday!
In all honesty, he would rather be on his broomstick, making up practice and his regiments than dressed up at a party. Thomas knew that the All Star match didn't really count, but when you were flying among the best of the best, a player wanted to be the best of the best. He wasn't as rusty as he thought he'd be, but just the lack of flying made his muscles more sore after practice than he was used to. He was barely holding himself up, and if it weren't for the beautiful woman on his arm he'd probably be slumped in a chair, ready to pass out from exhaustion.

Samantha was back and he could fly. Both of his best friends had made the all-star team, and they were going to be playing together for the first time in their careers. Thomas really couldn't think of anything that could make him happier, though showing up Brookstanton on the pitch might be the cherry on top. They were teammates, and however much Thomas found the other beater loathsome, he would work with him for the win. It would at least be an interesting match, if anything.

"Would you like to dance?" he asked Samantha, smiling. He'd missed her terribly and was glad that her stint out of the country was over. Just in time.

The second Holly left Theo's side he lost interest in the party. He always hated these sorts of gala's, the only fun he had ever had at them was with Holly. He smiled into his drink watching her pose for the photographers. She was looking amazing tonight, he couldn't take his eyes off of her. He had been tempted multiple times to comment on her white dress.

It wasn't that he was overly concerned about the details of the wedding. Because he wasn't. It was frivolous to have a big party just to announce that you were officially married. Just who was he going to announce it too? He hadn't even told his brother he was engaged. And of course with quidditch season in full swing, Holly had more important things to focus on than to planning a wedding. He didn't feel the need to have a big party to show everyone else that they were happily married, he had already done that once, and just look how that turned out. Granted the real difference probably had a lot to do with the fact that he didn't want to get married then in the first place. With Holly though, he wanted to be married. He wouldn't mind the waiting so much if he actually had a date in which it ended. But he'd decided to leave it all up to Holly. It wasn't like he was being asked everyday when the wedding was after all.

He shook the thought from his head ordering himself another drink and one for Holly. It was probably time to go steal her back from the photographers and her teammates. He had his fill of standing at the bar alone for the night. "I was just coming to find you." Theo said when he turned to find Holly standing beside him. What ever else he was going to say after that died on his lips.

He blinked a time or two as he processed what she had just said. Well, that was the last thing he had expected her to say. Holly was among the few that could catch him off guard, and the only person he didn't mind it from. "If you don't mind missing your party, then who am I to object." Theo agreed with an air of nonchalance. The smile he was fighting off his face would probably give him away. She most likely knew most of his tells by this point.

She winked, enjoying the sight of his restrained excitement. Holly had never felt the need to get married or understood why some women (especially her friends in Slytherin) so desperately needed that ring on their finger. What could a husband get her that she couldn't find herself? He could supposedly give her the world, but she already had her own. Holly was finding that accepting Theo's proposal, giving him her own proposal and all the other things she did with him were for him, and doing things for this man made her feel good. It made her feel happy.

Her smile widened.

Holly gestured for him to down the drink that had been set on the counter in front of him, but before he could reach for it she picked it up and took a small swig herself; some liquid courage couldn't hurt, right? Holly handed the glass back to Theo, not wanting it to go to waste.

"I can have a party any time." There were always reasons to celebrate her. Holly began to hurry him again, her excitement growing though she didn't see how their lives would change once that marriage license was signed. She wasn't going to drop her broom and become a doting housewife, ready to pop out his babies whenever he felt like adding to his inheritance. Holly had not even allowed the idea of children enter their conversations, as Theodore was enough and perfect, thanks. She tugged on his sleeve, "Hurry it up before I change my mind."

Theo downed his drink. He placed the empty bar glass on the counter and dropped a few coins next to it. Probably more than he normally would have but he was suddenly in a generous mood and didn't quite feel like waiting for change.

His hands now free, Theo turned back to Holly and placed them on her waist pulling her close to him for a kiss. Generally he frowned on such public displays of affection, but it there were ever a time for an exception this would be it.

"It's cute that you think that I'll let you change your mind now." he said stealing another kiss. Now that she had said it, there was no way that this night was going to end without them being married. "Alright, I'm ready, let's go. Lead the way." he hooked his arm with hers.
