POSTED FOR SATURDAY~ Sinners & Saints Ghost Train!

As the country side rushed by outside the window, Dianna could feel her pride grow with each passing second. She wasn't one to admit that she bragged about her achievements, but it would be a lie to think that she was not going to be boasting at how overwhelmingly amazing this event had turned out to be. The turn out had been far more than anticipated, the musicians that varied through every other cart were fantastic and livening up the mood---there were even ghosts of old conductors and passengers floating through the carts and having the time of their after-lives scaring the guests.

It was to be a fun, fantastic, frightful night. Dianna was beside herself with excitement, and she tugged her skirt down a bit and went on a search for a friendly face to interact with. Merlin, she'd really out done herself this time, she thought amusing as a cart-wide sized cobweb magically unspun to let her pass.

Dianna flipped a golden curl over her shoulder, smirking greatly. She was so brilliant.

He turned, frowning a grave frown for Therese. That was rotten.... probably not as rotten as your supposed best friend showing up to a party dressed like you, then proceeding to try and snog the girl you're currently seeing, but still rotten. Fizzy drinks were pretty entertaining.

Though not entertaining enough to let him even remotely 'appreciate' the 'liberties' Seth was taking concerning his 'costumed' identity. He supposed he had come a bit prepared, with a costume that wasn't really a costume, but good enough nonetheless. And vintage, hitting the rip age of three this year. It could be worse. They could be at an event where there was actually no way to leave whenever the guests wanted.

Oh wait.

Michal shook his head, finding he was getting carried away in his thoughts. It was anti-productive, not to mention what Seth tended to strive for sometimes. So instead, Michal shifted in spot, and casually lifted his free arm to rest it across Therese's shoulders.

"You'll find something else good," he nodded slightly, taking the time to sip from his own drink. Events like these always had some kind of... inventive... themed... extravagant thing that went along with the--- night. That sounded dumb. Michal shook his head again. "

"Mm, that’s true," Therese agreed.

She was disappointed that their mood had been soured so early in the night, though even with his reputation she couldn’t really believe that Seth would have intentionally tried to ruin things. Though, it wasn’t as if she did know him well enough to even joke about something like a snog, it---no, she wouldn’t dwell. The past few weeks had been full of questioning from aurors, stress headaches, and sleepless nights. Therese quickly admitted to herself that staying in the office space where the attack had occurred would not help with dealing with the situation, so she was interviewing for other practices. Hopefully her clients would follow, but at this point she was more concerned about her own mental health than those of high strung quidditch players.

No, no. She had to start thinking about herself and her own well-being. That was what she should be focusing on, herself and the handsome man on her arm that was in a lousy, lousy mood. Therese had never seen Michal lose his temper and though he’d kept his composure she could tell his anger was simmering near a boil.

"Let’s go find something," she murmured, her arm going around his waist, hand slipping under his shirt for a moment to graze her nails on his skin. Therese had spotted people coming in and out of the cart doors, maybe to escape the noise? There had to be a place to clear their minds and release some frustration.

He muttered in agreement, suddenly feeling quite crowded in their current location. Seth, although not currently present, was effectively getting under his skin. And it was--- annoying, because for many years Michal had felt that he had been putting a lid on and controlling the annoying mood changes that his best friend might inadvertently (or purposely) bring about. But he couldn't quiet shake this one, and for that he felt more irritable... it was an irritable unbroken cycle.

Michal briefly closed his eyes, taking in a silent breath. It could be much worse. Seth could actually seriously be pursuing Therese, and she in turn could be receptive instead of avoidance--- those two thoughts surprisingly made him feel a bit better. It could be worse.

Right horrible way to look at it, but if it worked, it worked.

"Maybe they have a haunted car that's meant to be a scary walkthrough," Michal suggested randomly, honestly not knowing what activities, if any, were planned on this train. But that would be entertaining to experience. He looked down at Therese, and unconsciously shifted closer to her.

"Unless you'll get scared," he quipped in a low tone, a hint of his usual playfulness present.

She raised her eyebrows, a coy smile sliding onto her face at his teasing.

"You're forgetting who's the big, bad Slytherin," Therese said with a wink.

She rapped her fingers on his chest before walking backwards a few steps as they started through the crowd. The train cars were easy to pass through and the elaborate decorations were quite impressive. The museum curators had made sure that their set designs were built to the utmost accuracy and it was obvious that a tremendous amount of effort had been put into the event. The carts were themed, and they ranged from a guillotine torture scene (complete with a bloody spray to the crowd!) to a seemingly underwater car that had sharks and other scary creatures of the deep floating above their heads. Bubbles shot out from the creepy coral and seaweed wrapped around your ankles!

The thrills of the carts left her breathless and now once again excited for the evening. They escaped an Egyptian tomb-themed room, and Therese stared down the dark abyss of the next car. You couldn't see a thing, but a moment later lightening crackled, lighting up the room.

"Ooh, very, very frightening," she whispered in a low tone as she took her first step in. Therese reached behind her to grab onto Michal. "Let's go, brave Gryffindor."
