POSTED FOR SATURDAY~ Sinners & Saints Ghost Train!

As the country side rushed by outside the window, Dianna could feel her pride grow with each passing second. She wasn't one to admit that she bragged about her achievements, but it would be a lie to think that she was not going to be boasting at how overwhelmingly amazing this event had turned out to be. The turn out had been far more than anticipated, the musicians that varied through every other cart were fantastic and livening up the mood---there were even ghosts of old conductors and passengers floating through the carts and having the time of their after-lives scaring the guests.

It was to be a fun, fantastic, frightful night. Dianna was beside herself with excitement, and she tugged her skirt down a bit and went on a search for a friendly face to interact with. Merlin, she'd really out done herself this time, she thought amusing as a cart-wide sized cobweb magically unspun to let her pass.

Dianna flipped a golden curl over her shoulder, smirking greatly. She was so brilliant.

She felt shy, which wasn't something that ever occurred in the presence of her husband. Bess pressed her lips together as she tried to figure out how to word what she was feeling in a way that wouldn't completely ruin their night. Not that she thought that her feelings were wrong or would upset Drystan. It was because she felt so indecisive about everything that it made her feelings more complicated than they were. Bess had been so fine with staying with the children earlier in the year, what had changed her mind?

"I wish I knew," she said truthfully, letting out a soft laugh, "Some days I can't think of anything I'd rather be doing than being home with our children, and then there are days that---" Bess had to find a way to make 'running away' sound eloquent and not at all as terrible as it sounded, she didn't feel like that, "---that I think I could be doing so much more but I can't."

Stuck? She was stuck. "I don't have the N.E.W.T.s, I don't have the time, it---" Penny's journey back to Hogwarts to sit her exams had struck a chord with Bess; it felt as if she had nothing to show for her seven years of hard work at school other than she could make beautiful children. She was so much more than that!

Her shoulders slumped. There were people who hadn't made it a few years out of Hogwarts before the war had taken their lives, and here she was, complaining about hers.

"I'm whining about the beautiful life I have," Bess said with a shake of her head. Her cheeks reddened and she looked away from Drystan, "it's pathetic. I just need a hobby."

As he listened, he had a bit of a sinking feeling about the chest. Drystan hadn't known she was feeling such discontent, or he'd have tried to do something before. What he would have tried to do (or, for that matter, would attempt to do now), he wasn't sure, but he felt helpless at the idea of her being unhappy, and had to know it was somehow within his power to fix it. At the very least, in an attempt to make up for letting it escape his notice before. For perhaps being in part responsible? He didn't know.

"Hey," he said urgently, lifting his hand from hers to nudge her face gently back towards his. He craned his head down slightly to look her in the eyes. "Never apologise for wanting more."

That was a sentiment he was familiar enough with, and could never fault another person for having. Drystan was fortunate that what he did for a living had a goal that reset itself every year. Flying was a release for him, and though the game was burdened with a thousand other things that could easily bring a man down, it never left him purposeless. He'd felt such an emotion in other parts of his life often enough to be grateful that it didn't dictate his life.

He dropped his hand to take one of hers, bringing the palm to his lips and kissing it before holding it back to his chest. "We'll put our heads together. We'll figure something out."
