But did that mean it wasn't worth fighting for? Providing a chance, lending time to help establish something... that might... be exciting, and worthwhile, fulfilling and happy. Rose had been struggling for many months to experience genuine happiness again after her taxing break-up with Octavius, and after feeling miserable for so long it had been him, Axe Brookstanton, that had somehow managed to pull her out from the deep hole of desperation that she had drowned herself in.

How could she--- she didn't want to give that up, she felt like she could almost finally breathe again, was functioning without that foggy haze clouding her mind and eyes, and... was it wrong to want to hold onto that, not so readily give up on the one thing that provided that? Her hands clasped together feebly, already feeling the uneasy ramifications of pulling out such strong thoughts concerning him. There was perhaps a deeper, more scarred part of her that was unwilling to divulge any kind of affection towards Axe incase it was unreciprocated, which only added to her hesitation.

Her lips pressed together in a discontented manner. Everything was always complicated, troubling, and difficult, why couldn't it just be simple? Though, she supposed, nothing in her life had ever been simply done, so why should it be now? The old feeling of creeping angst began to fill her, and Rose tried her very best to focus on the wizard before her instead of those old emotions.

The more she stared at him, the more compelled she felt to forgo all these burdening thoughts. Simply follow how she felt, and deal with everything else has it came in stride. Wouldn't that be nice, for a change? One of Rose's hands trailed to her face, and she held her fingers to her lips for a few moments as she thought. Or, thought about wishing to not thinking anymore.

And then, very slowly at first, she began to inch back toward him, until all at once, Rose took him back in fully and---

"We're not together," she managed between resuming their heated exchange and crushing her lips back to his. If she had to say it out loud, albeit in between heavy breaths, then so be it to calm this logic. "This isn't dating--- nothing official---" A lump formed in her throat, but she paid no mind to it.
