Scarlett listened to Kendall go on, conjuring up fifteen excuses to shoot down his request for a dance in less than thirteen seconds. Her eyebrows rose, actually taken off guard as he finished his thought. He was attempting to recruit her? Sweep her off her feet and onto the broomstick owned by the Wanderers? Well, then.
Her eyes narrowed, wondering if he was being serious. Scarlett had not kept it quiet that she wished to leave the Wasps, no matter the bad press. She had been traded from a team she loved to one with a captain that didn't care about anything but winning, and himself. She didn't appreciate being talked down to in public by Bagman, and she most certainly did not like making playoffs by the skin of her teeth.
Though, really, what did Broadmoor have to offer her? The Kestrels had collapsed and his lack of snitch catches were largely to blame. The seeker may have to say that they were not the most important part of the game, but it was a season based on points. When you were in control of 150 of them per match, things tended to lean towards you in the importance factor. And to ask her to move to the Wanderers of all teams?
"The Wanderers are horrible," Scarlett drawled, taking a seat on the stool behind her.
