Victoria worried her lip as they danced. She'd fretted over what she was going to wear for
hours, and Rich had completely and utterly tolerated it -- she thought she'd settled on something that at least didn't make it obvious that she was expecting.
Of course people
knew, because hiding a bump in the locker room was impossible, but -- well, they didn't know who the father was. She was sure that the snoopy photographers were going to be all over her dancing with Rich, and that was -- well, sort of the point. It had been partly Henry's idea -- no reason to lie about a baby, and leaving them guessing about who the father was would only end badly. This way, the press could think they'd caught her with someone and start making assumptions, and the real story would get out anyway.
"Hmm?" She was only mildly distracted glancing around. Although they hadn't won the cup this year, things were looking up for her. Rich had been nothing but supportive, and she knew she was extremely lucky for that.
"Ah, no. I mean, I've got a really bad craving for maple-bacon ice cream right now, but I think that'll probably pass."
