Open to Quidditch Guests!
She was a champion.

Holly wouldn't (and couldn't, since she was sure it was well-documented) deny that she had cried. Quidditch had been her life for so long, and to have this stretch of a career without a league cup to call her own, it was hard to deal with. Seasons were long and ehxausting, they took away all your time and energy, and to not win the cup meant that you'd just wasted the year. Sure, there were the fans, there was making personal records, and even the international circuit was fun, but Holly had needed this win so badly that she still got shivers when she thought about it. She'd done it, and she'd been the best.

She sighed, taking in the surroundings. Appleby Park had been transformed into a wonderful setting for the event, the spells on the stadium keeping the guests warm and the night sky bright above them. The league cup sat on its platform in the middle of the dance floor, looking like a glorious holy grail that she'd finally wrapped her hands around. Her husband was here somewhere, but she was lost in the sea of people. Teammates, competitors, agents, and the media, it was simply a night for the game she loved, and Holly couldn't remember a moment when she'd been happier with everything in her life.

As she made her way to the bar, she spotted one of her aforementioned teammates standing off and away from the rest of the guests. Holly, not one to ignore a teammate as she'd taken on the role this past season as, well, a mother-hen (but don't tell Theo), she couldn't ignore the nagging feeling in the back of her head.

"You're missing all the fun," she said, taking their elbow. When Holly finally got a good look at their face, she frowned, "What's wrong? It looks like you've seen a ghost."

Charlie was about to announce that he was feeling like he'd been run over a hippogriff when Delilah was distracted. He was very used to his sister losing her train of thought, but when she spoke and said those names in the same sentence, his eyes widened in horror. Charlie turned around quickly, too quickly for his back, and winced not only in pain but in surprise. There was no way that Rich was the father of Victoria's baby, right?

Right?

"Bloody hell," Charlie said, turning back and feeling as if his joints were creaking. He could see it in Delilah's eyes that she was putting it all together, and the last thing she needed (he needed, really) was to have a mental breakdown. Would this cause one? Realizing that your last ex-boyfriend impregnanted the sister of the ex-boyfriend you cheated on, and has since died?

Yep, Charlie could see that meltdown coming from a mile away.

He stood, blocking Delilah's view, "I love this song! How about we dance?"

Delilah blinked ignoring Charlie as she stared at the couple on the dance floor. "You'll hurt your back more if you dance." She said not bothering to look at him. There was something about this. Something more than just Rich finding someone else to pour his affections over, which was fine, but did it have to be Victoria Cadwallader?. Wasn't that a bit tactless? It wasn't like he didn't know. She watched them spin around the room and Rich whisper something in her ear trying to figure out why the whole thing made her skin crawl.

"Oh." The single syllable feel from her lips as it clicked. It was written right above the bit about Matthew and her in the last Snitch! magazine. As much as she stared at that picture, of course she read the bit about it being confirmed that Victoria was indeed pregnant. And with the way Rich was looking at her right now, well Delilah might be a bit dim, but even this was obvious. "Oh."

She sunk back in her chair unable to tear her eyes from the couple. Rich use to look at her like that. Well, until she basically said thanks but no thanks, I'm fine on my own and ignored him for months on end. She should be happy for him, that he had found someone else and wasn't still hung up on her, but this, nine months later and already expecting to be the father of a child. To the sister of --- "I am happy with Matthew." Delilah said suddenly pulling her gaze from the couple and looking directly to Charlie. "Matthew. I l-- I am ridiculously fond of Matthew and I am not jealous. But this is weird right?"

Charlie remained standing, frowning down at Delilah. He knew she'd been the one to break things off with House, which Charlie had been grateful for because the guy was a bloody boring pill, but it hadn't simply been because she wasn't happy with him. She'd gone through a lot, like the other boring bloke she'd dated, Scott, had died. All while she'd been stuck in Istanbul with bloody Nora. It was a rough time and Delilah had probably done the mature thing, so...

"It's weird," Charlie agreed, sitting back down with a wince and turning to look at the dancing pair. He hoped that this sight wasn't making Delilah question things with Summerby, because you didn't exactly have to reiterate the fact that you liked your boyfriend if you didn't have doubts.

"House was boring, Delly," Charlie said, rubbing his neck. "And Cadwallader's a flake. Don't think twice about them."

He sighed. It was always difficult to talk seriously with Delilah, but the stunned expression on his twin's face gave Charlie the urgent need to snap her out of it.

"You've got something good with Summerby," he said. Hell, Charlie was almost jealous; those flighty, honeymoon-phase days were things of the past.

Her sights drifted back to the dancing couple as her twin agreed that it was weird, going on yet again how Rich was boring. He had said the same thing about Scott too. Charlie always thought her boyfriends were boring, or dull, or gits. It was only a matter of time until he decided to let her know just what he thought of Matt.

She was so busy frowning at her thoughts that she almost missed what he had said altogether. Her eyes snapped back to her brother Rich and Victoria completely forgotten. He had just, with no bitter or sarcastic tone at all, said she had a good thing? Delilah couldn't remember the last time Charlie said something nice about someone she was dating without some sort of fight or prompting.

"Yea," she agreed unable to help the small smile from forming as she now took the time to find her date in the crowd. Her kind sweet date that Charlie had set her up with. Never would she have thought that she'd end up with a Hufflepuff quidditch player her twin had picked out for her. "You are right. When did you become the smart one Charlie?"
