He didn’t say anything in response to her words, but he just looked her straight in the eye. As always, it was hard to tell what he was thinking, or feeling, no matter how hard you looked, so he had to give some indication that he was…glad. No, maybe that wasn’t the right word for it. He was relieved, that she was going to fight this, and let him do what he could to help. So, he gave a single nod of his head, as though he had fully processed her words in his head, and he understood. “It’s not going to be easy.” She already knew this, and he knew that, but for some reason he felt the need to say it out loud. Just to make things perfectly clear, so there wasn't any doubt.
