The fact that Tomas had actually listened to her ramblings about Jane Goodall was the important part, she'd decided. She didn't bother to hide her grin -- despite the fact the balloons were really just irritatingly bright and she would have preferred something else, she knew that he liked them and that, she supposed, was the important thing.
It was really very unfair that she was not going to be able to snog him until she was better, although she was sure that he was missing it more than she was. Avis shifted up so that she was sitting a little closer to him and then opened the box up, immensely pleased with the box of gifts -- and more pleased once she found the paperwork at the bottom of the box.
"And here I had been thinking you'd forgotten," She teased quietly, leaning in to at least kiss his cheek.
