Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Entry tags:aland avery, roderick dearborn

Who: Roderick Dearborn and Aland Avery
What: MANLY STUFF
When: Saturday night
Where: Roderick's freakishly clean flat
Why: ...

He was aware that Aland had been ignoring him for the past few weeks, but perhaps that was his fault. He'd been rather stern about still talking to Erin (he still had an infatuation with her whether it had resulted from transference from Aland or not) and he supposed he was less than willing to completely deny that he was attracted to the other man.

Roderick tapped his fingers against the table while he waited for both the take-away and Aland to show up. At least one of the two was bound to come, if only because it was bound by the fact that food places liked to be paid for their goods. Hopefully the food would show up first, because Roderick was currently six blocks from his house and waiting on the doorstep of a place that wasn't his own. No need to let anyone know where he really lived unless they were family and he felt he could trust them.

The pizza boy showed up and Roderick handed him the coins, waiting until the young man turned his back and then apparating to his own step. He unlocked the door physically and then with an unlocking charm and stepped inside, setting the box on top of his counter and continuing to wait.

Beer and pizza -- that wasn't a date, right, so Aland wouldn't freak out. Sure.

"It's not normal to offer the same sort of information about myself that you offered about yourself?" Honestly, Roderick wasn't offended ... and if the other man needed the explanation for things to make sense then that was just fine. He shrugged, taking another bite of food and glancing to Aland.

"I don't do this 'friendly' thing terribly often, so you'll have to forgive me if I'm a bit confused as far as it goes. I don't ... really make friends. They're a bit of a liability." Which meant Aland was an important exception. Right, he really shouldn't have made that much obvious.

Aland shrugged, "I wasn't really offering on purpose, things just sometimes come out of my mouth weather I like them to or not. Darren says something about a filter, but who knows what he's talking about most of the time," Aland waved his hand a little as if he was brushing the comment off. Roderick's next comment was kind of interesting and most of his brain told him to stay away from the subject but Aland couldn't help but asking, "Are we friends then? Because well I don't really have sex with my friends. Well not 'really', i mean I don't have sex with my friends. Shagging friends is not a good plan."

"Since we're having sex, then, perhaps something more than friends," he suggested, finishing off his bit of pizza. Aland really did need to learn a filter if he was going to be a good Death Eater and keep himself from getting killed for giving away secrets after one too many beer. Roderick shrugged, leaning against the counter. This whole conversation didn't bother him much.

"I just had a feeling that 'dating' would freak you."

Trying not to appear too shocked or disgusted at the thought of dating a bloke, Aland took a drink of beer and sort of tried to organize his thoughts. Did Roderick think they were dating but not wanting to call it that? How did Aland feel about that? He certainly didn't want to date Roderick, who was a male. Very male. That was just. Very. Wrong. But they were having sex, or at least, it seemed like Roderick wanted more.

Aland bit his lip and shrugged a little, "So you think we're going to do this more then?"

"Regardless," he continued, feeling a bit out of his element, "that wouldn't be a good idea. Considering the obligations we both have to the Dark Lord." And the fact that being flaming queers was frowned on even in regular society whether they liked it or not.

He took a sip of his own beer and glanced to Aland, attempting not to glance at his mouth when he bit his lip. "I wouldn't be opposed to it."
