Although Giada couldn’t see it, he rolled his eyes when hearing her remark. “Even better than that,” he smirked nonetheless.
Avery walked around the table and took a seat across from Giada. He leaned forward, resting an elbow on the table and supporting his chin on top of a rolled up fist. Looking back at what he considered a friend, he smiled back at her, somewhat smugly. Avery was still trying to figure out how he and Giada still hadn’t hooked up from the time they had met and up to now, well besides that one time, but that didn’t exactly count. He didn’t exactly remember what had happened – or maybe it was just selective memory.
“Oh, you know…” he began, not sure where he was going with this.
