Abigail!
Sirius was having a grand time, sitting by himself in the Leaky Cauldron, eating crackers. He probably should've been at his pub, checking in on Bess and Fabian but he really just didn't feel like going into work today. So he'd decided to bother Tom, the barkeep and see what kind of free food he could talk people into buying for him. He could afford it, of course, it just tasted better when it was free. Currently he was waiting on some soup this elderly witch had just ordered and paid for, because he 'looked too thin' and Sirius had thanked her kindly and went back to seeing how many crackers he could fit in his mouth at once.

Right now he was trying to create a new sport of cracker aerobatics, by flipping bits of cracker into his mouth using various utensils and minimal wandless magic. He managed to catch one in the back of his throat as a very familiar pair of legs walked by. Sirius coughed and choked on his cracker bit loud enough to get her attention. He polished off a mug of butterbeer to get the dryness gone, before calling out to her, "Abigail, there's a seat for you right here, luv."

Why was she even here? It was a question she must've asked herself seven times just since she walked in the door and that had been -- oh, what? Thirty, forty seconds ago? Still, though she had no answer to her inquiry, she didn't have the intent to leave quite yet. Money, adoring friends, rich husband ... ugh. It was secure and stable, but could anything possibly be more boring? Probably not. Ever since the incident in the bakery with that unsavory character Sebastion Goldstein (even in her mind she spat the name like it was a curse), she found herself exploring different haunts. The people were more interesting than the stuffy crowd she was regularly a part of, anyway, even if she hadn't found anyone in particular of great interest just yet.

As she walked through, she heard someone choking and stopped walking mid-step, glancing behind her just in time to see Sirius Black finished off his butterbeer. Her carefully groomed brows quirked just slightly and she laughed lightly at his invitation. She hadn't seen or spoken to him in a long while, not that the two were ever exactly on friendly terms. She tolerated him with the same ever-suffering way that she tolerated everyone that she felt wasn't worth her time, though with him it had been a little more playful. She enjoyed the attention and while she constantly brushed it off and pretended to be annoyed, she always made sure to encourage it with a flirty smile or one of her looks. Nothing but harmless, silly flirtation ever came of it, of course, and after graduation, she never spoke to him again. He was, after all, a disgrace to his family and the very circle she lived in. What reason did she have?

Glancing about subtly to be sure that no one was around to see her near him, she took a seat on the stool beside him and crossed her legs under the bar. "Sirius Black," she said, as though tasting the syllables, a small smirk on her lips, "It's been a while, hasn't it?"

Sirius beamed as Abigail sat down, twisting a little and resting his elbows on the bar and giving her his full attention. She still looked as foxy as ever and Sirius was amused that she took her time in looking around and sitting next to him. His grin turned a little lecherous as he raised an eyebrow at her in appraisal. He did appreciate how good she still looked and maybe Sirius could bury his hurt feelings in a bit of harmless flirting with Abigail. And that's what it always had been. She'd never given him the time of day in school, but he'd continued to pursue her relentlessly. "It's been far too long since I've seen your pretty face. Where have you been hiding yourself these days? I hope not over a steaming cauldron. It would be a shame if your husband put you straight to work."

He signaled to Tom to come over and indicated he wanted another butterbeer and then motioned to Abigail, "Can I get you something to drink? Something hard? It's only eleven thirty, perfect tome for one of Tom's famous cocktails."

Full attention was something that Abigail loved and happened to be rather used to. In fact, hardly anything could make her nearly as happy as attention did, be it in the good, better, or worst sense, it never really mattered as long as the spotlight was shining on her. She met his eyes unwaveringly and maintained that easy, aloof smirk. Sirius had always attracted her. No, it wasn't something she would dare admit or even allude to anyone, but it was there. She liked his bad boy image, the way he could push everyone's buttons, the way he was relentless in his pursuits, no matter what she said to the contrary. Of course, the man who was now her husband had chased her for years, but there was no fun in that chase, not when her parents insisted she finally settle in. Sirius, on the other hand, was off limits. Was anything more tempting that what was off limits? No one had ever pushed her to him like they'd pushed her to her husband, but she had always liked the games they played in school and how he was probably the only one who knew she'd only been playing at not being interested. Or at least she assumed he knew. Back in school, though, she wouldn't have known what to do next once the chase had finished. These days, though, Abigail knew very well.

"My husband would not dare put me to work, Mr. Black. The last time I stood over a steaming cauldron had to have been seventh year Potions class," she paused, glancing over to the barkeep and then letting her eyes slide off of him as though he were moldy cheese, then returned her gaze to Sirius. "A glass of water would be fine. No lemon, no ice," she said, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. Abigail continued as though the man were no longer present, her full attention back on Sirius. He was still gorgeous, if not moreso than when she'd seen him last. "I've been keeping myself with hobbies, though nothing worth noting. And what of you? Have you picked up any new hobbies, Sirius?"

Sirius barely blinked an eye at Abigai's treatment of Tom, he wouldn't worry, the barkeep was treated like that all the time and Sirius was going to leave a fat tip anyway. It was just...classic Abigail. It didn't make Sirius want to lecture her, just make a mental note to file away for later. He watched her closely and chewed on the corner of his lip. There was a fine line between flirting with a married woman and bantering with Abigail, and it was hard to reconcile Abigail as a married woman, especially since he'd never really had a 'taste' of her.

"That's good, we can't have you slaving away," Sirius said with an amused smile, "What kind of hobbies? Shopping? Poking children with a stick until they cry? That's one of my favorites. But right now I own a pub in Ireland and I spend my days bossing people around there and playing with a motorcyle and hang out with James, trying to plot ways to overthrow the king of candyland."
