Open to all invited!
"I'm glad you could come!"

Meredith waved to one of the many people whom she recognized and took a sip out of the glass she was holding. She looked around, surveying the people who had come--this party had definitely been a good idea, just look at everyone who had shown up! It was almost as good as the parties that those rich Slytherin girls threw, except that none of them were there. Which was alright, she told herself, because they were rude anyway, but how cool would it have been if a party she and Phoebe threw had actually attracted one or two?

There was a big bonfire blazing a few meters away and Meredith went over to place herself down in the sand around it. She leaned back on her hands and stretched her legs out, watching the silhouettes of her feet as she wiggled her toes. It was going to be murder to get all of this sand off of her at the end of the night, but none of that mattered right now. This was awesome and nothing was about to spoil her night.

There was a skip in Ellie's step as she skirted across the sand that night, passing through the crowd of people that had come out to party, drink in hand. She'd been dancing around just about everywhere it seemed since school had ended, and it was no mystery why. She loved her new job--she couldn't get enough of it--and it was seeping into her outside life as well. Ellie found herself dancing around everywhere lately; a random pirouette on the way to the bathroom in the morning, an out-of-place arabesque while she was cooking dinner, and tonight was no different.

Because the thing was, she'd never imagined she could be this happy with life after Hogwarts. She was a Ravenclaw, and a Ravenclaw from one of the--if she did say so herself--smartest classes of Ravenclaws that the school had seen in a long time. People expected her to go on and do amazing and life-altering things with that knowledge, and Ellie had let those expectations for a long time lead her to think she couldn't do something as simple as teach a bunch of primary schoolers how to dance en pointe. But when she had realized that she could actually do anything with her life, and furthermore something that actually made her happy--well, that had been the most freeing realization she had ever come to.

Of course, the happiness could also be attributed to the fact that she and Davy were back on good terms after the whole craziness at the end of the year. Which she was super thankful for, seeing as living with him would be ten times harder if they were glaring across the room at each other all the time.

Speaking of Davy, a smile broke out onto Ellie's face as she spotted him just a couple meters away. Making her way over, she slid down onto the log next to him and gave him a quick kiss. "Having a good time?"
