Lu had been staying pleasantly at the Baxter Building a couple of nights since his arrival. Kristoff had already called Anya Stark to arrange a rendezvous; she seemed the woman to see about this.
And now they were on their way.

	Rok Lu is standing not only in New York, but in the main entryway of the Avengers Mansion itself. He takes a deep breath and looks. "Hello. I am Rok Lu. I wished to come to speak to you about a membership with your organization." The stress can be heard in his voice, the nerves choking him up a little. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Lu shakes Anya's hand, hoping his gloves don't make it feel impersonal. "Very well, Anya. You may call me Rok. Or Lu. Or Rok Lu. Whatever you wish really." 	Kristoff tries to look reassuring. "Lu has a lot to discuss. I trust you can think of somewhere most appropriate to sit down and talk?" Rok Lu enters the parlor and waits for Anya to sit. Once she has, he takes a long, slow sip of the tea in front of him, thanking the powers that be that the Avenger's have Oolong tea actually from China. He puts it down and sighs.

"I am here, Miss Stark, to ask for not only a membership in the Avengers but perhaps also a chance to... redeem myself of my father's sins."

Anya gave him an understanding smile. "I completely understand. Membership in the Avengers will have to be voted on by the current members, but I will gladly sponsor your membership. I understand what it is like to want to do good for something not so good in your past or because of a parent." In Anya's case it was the former, not the latter. Mostly.

She took a sip of tea. "Recent events have made me do some thinking and I have been considering forming a new team. One where the members are there for a second chance or where they want to escape family legacies. Would you consider this team instead of the Avengers?"

Lu thinks to himself. "Miss Stark. The only reason I am a hero is because I was saved as a child by the Invincible Iron Man. If he had not saved me, I'd likely be the next Radioactive Man or a corpse. But... he did. And so, Miss Stark, wherever you deem the best place for me, Man of Energy will gladly be there." Lu takes a small sandwich and pops it in his mouth and smiles. "Chicken curry sandwiches. Delicious."

	"Even if the idea doesn't pan out, there's still the Avengers. But I would love to give it a try. I've seen what could happen to someone who could have turned out a lot difference if they had been given a different chance." Anya smiled. "Jarvis is a god among men and a god in the kitchen. Rok Lu smiles. "Then I shall be assured that should the attempt to redeem others as well fail, I can have more of this food. How you Avengers stay fit on this shall be a mystery for the ages."

Lu drinks a bit more tea. "And yes. I know my father used to be one of the Masters of Evil. I... have a certain wish that the children of the other Masters could also turn down a brighter path. As well as any individual with abilities."

Anya thought about the question for a moment. She honestly hadn't thought that far ahead. "I honestly don't know yet. I think it's one of those things that may have to be decided on when we know who is on the team and see where people are willing to go. I do know that I have to stay rather close to Boston because I attend school near there. And I don't have a time frame, I'm sorry."

Plus, it is a close walk to the Baxter Building, so I am certain it would be easy to move my things and see Vernard and his family again. "As for Boston...
