...and yes, it was fun! Very tiring fun, but fun nevertheless.
On saturday evening, when it was all over, we were given a meal which was actually quite good (in recent years, it's been pretty awful, so we complained, and it seems that has worked), and there was a big party all over the Campus (with a special location for the volunteers, who each got two tokens for a free drink). But most of the motorcycle riders, including
stoneshop and me, were too tired to make it into the small hours. We just wanted a decent night's sleep.
In the morning, we went to the traditional biker's breakfast, ate a good breakfast and had a nice chat, and then waved goodbye and rode home, accompanied by
gummihuhn. It was a lovely day, bright and sunny, and the fruit trees are in bloom. What a wonderful ride that was. It felt like a birthday gift.
That's right, yesterday was my birthday. I was much to busy to notice, but just now Stoneshop took me out for a lovely meal. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to do absolutely nothing until it's time for bed (which feels like soon!)
