Eating for two
Sharing her body with another human being still felt a little strange to Ellie. Having kids wasn't something she'd seen coming, at least not for a long time. Still, she was glad that Daniel was there for her and being supportive. He'd been very attentive, holding her hair back when she had morning sickness, not batting an eye at the weirdest of cravings, and being supportive of the hormonal roller-coaster she was currently on. Her due date couldn't come fast enough.

And her clothes weren't fitting, which made her feel fat and disgusting. Ellie grumbled, throwing her jeans on the floor in frustration. She grabbed a pair of sweatpants and threw them on. Nope, she wasn't even going to bother with putting makeup on today. Or brushing her hair. She felt miserable, and all she wanted to do was walk down to the kitchen and get a bowl of ice cream, and then walk back to bed and marathon Dancing With The Stars.

Daniel has been doing his best to be supportive. This took him by surprise too - but he can't entirely say he doesn't kind of like the thought of being a father. After the initial shock, at least trying to help Ellie seemed the least he could do - mostly just wanting to do more.

Being able to tell she's in a mood, from the grumbling and cursing, he sets a few things in motion. He shows up in her room with the tub of Rocky Road ice cream with a spoon in it and a new Jets jersey in her current size. While she's seeing to that, he disappears.

When he shows up again, he's got his guitar, and is setting into the first verse of Stonehaven Sunset.
