Okay, okay, okay it's time for all of you to stop the bullshit about how Gryffindor is going to beat Slytherin again and actually put your money where your mouth is. Let's bet, shall we?

I'm offering 3-1 odds on the winning team and 5-1 to anyone brave enough to predict the final score AND who catches the snitch. There's no minimum bet set and I'm expecting to see a lot of money, since the lot of you seem to be so confident about the outcome, already. And for fucks' sake, if you're going to be a bloody tightwad, stay away.

I'll be taking bets until Thursday and ONLY through these journals. Any takers?

How much money exactly?

Four galleons on Slytherin. Malfoy's going to get the snitch, I'll get back to you on the actual points.

Four galleons? That's how much your team's worth to you, Charlie? I'm going to start calling you Charlie Miserly Vaisey from now on.

Yes, it is. In the event that the impossible does happen I want to make sure I have plenty for Hogsmeade the next weekend. You can go ahead and call me that, by the time you're done saying the whole bloody thing it'll lose it's charm.

And I don't really see you standing to lose anything, mate.

You should have more faith in you chasing abilities. Or mine, rather, since you're probably going down the minute you mount your broom. I should bet on that. And that's alright, I'll call your Miserly for short.

That's because I won't be losing anything.

Sounds like a plan. I'll be the martyr and if anything goes wrong they can always blame you.

Why me? You're the one unable to stay on your broom.

I'm simply hoping that I'm not a bloody tightwad.

Well, that depends. Where's the money?

In a very safe location, darling.

That's no fun. Where's the house pride, Amy?

Perhaps I'm doing it for your own benefit. I could, after all, place bets on Gryffindor instead.

Of course you could. If you wanted to lose money.

We wouldn't want that, now would we?

Nope. You need the money to buy me something at Hogsmeade.

That certainly depends on what exactly you want from Hogsmeade.

Preferably. No one screams pink and sparkly better than you.

Are you actually hoping that some deluded Gryffindor would bet?

That is quite a good observation, actually. I'd expect it of the Weasleys, but they have no money to bet with.

It would be the logical thing, seeing how much they love boasting.
