Family Feathers
Gabriel stood otuside of the mansion, actually somewhat nervous. He had been back for only a few hours after having left again to visit his son. It was still cold, but he enjoyed spreading his wings. Even at that moment, he was in the middle of stretching them out. And he was also pleased to have a shirt on that had zippers in the back to let his wings get through them. Although, he needed help getting the shirt on so he still preferred being shirtless.

	"Oh. I see..." He looked away, a little sorry to have missed it. But he had a child he wasn't prepared to bring to the States. Well, on the other hand, Gabriel was happy he wasn't there. 	Warren was in the kitchen grabbing a cup of coffee when Lyta said his son had arrived. If he had to admit it, he was nervous. He had a son he had never met and a grandson on top of it. He didn't know what to expect or what would happen. He sipped the black coffee and waited. (Reply to this)(Thread)

Gabriel accepted the mug and nodded. "Alright, well..."

He decided he would give them a basic run through of his life so far.

"After I was born, I got put in the care of Francesca, one of Moira MacTaggert's associates. Francesca - she never told me her last name - has been my guardian all my life. But I didn't always live in Scotland. I've come here, to the United State, before. I was looking for my mother, but I never was able to find her. Only recently have I been anywhere close to knowing more about her. I had actually come here to start my search, and discovered you and Lyta by chance."

He glossed over some details of his life, given that talking about them was a little too painful for him to handle.

"I've also been to college. I haven't graduated because I needed to be home with Connor. Only recently did Francesca agree to step in and take care of him, and that's because I had to beg her."

Warren listened. He could tell he wasn't getting the whole story, but he wasn't going to press the issue. At least right now. Later would be a different story.

Warren made a mental todo list in his mind. Trust fund for Gabriel and Connor to start.

"He will be well provided for," Warren said. "I'm not trying to buy you off or get you to like me for the money, but I won't let anyone in my family go without. If you need something for yourself or for Connor, please say something. If you need more permanent full time care for him, please let me know. We can make arrangements."

Gabriel looked to the side, and then down. This is the kind of thing he wanted to avoid talking about, but it seemed it wasn't possible to get around. But also, it was just hard to talk about something like that. Gabriel wasn't the kind of guy to take up people on offers like that.

"I... I don't really know what to say to that..."

He took a sip of his coffee. He was obviously conflicted. Taking money from the father he just met didn't seem right. He really needed to ease into the idea. And so he thought up his own plan for this.

"Before anything happens," he said, "I will need to think on it. I know you mean well, but this is a lot to offer so quickly, and I wasn't raised to depend so much on other people. When I begged Francesca to look after Connor, I had to swallow my pride first."

"Thank you," he told Warren. And then he looked at Lyta. "No thanks, Lyta."

He took another sip of his coffee, which would not have been complemented by cookies. But he understood what Lyta was trying to do, and he was glad for it.

"I think I might ask Francesca to bring Connor here for a visit," he said, "Unless you both would like to visit him? I'm sure Francesca would feel better to not leave her house."
