Well, yes, needless to say I would be upset, but since this probably won't ever happen to me, being as I have already fulfilled my position as dutiful elder son once in this lifetime, I do not forsee doing it again.

Also, I am a Wilkes male, and things like this never seem to happen to us. Bad luck for this chap, though, as I rather imagine he has little pleasure being married to you.

On the other hand, what exactly do you intend to do about this rather unfortunate arrangement?

Then what do you call Grayson's spectacularly failed arrangement?

I intend to either murder him in his sleep, with poison, or hire a hitman. I was going to ask one of the two of you to do it, but now that I think of it, maybe one of father's little Russian men.

But more seriously? I intend to scare him off.

I call it the losing end of a bargain for Grayson. But I am not entirely sure Ophelia and Grayson were simply an arranged match and nothing else. She's very suited to his psychotic temperament, if you ask me.

But clearly, they have no wish for their eldest to produce offspring when Grayson is plainly the better specimen for procreating. That is exactly what I heard come out of Mother's mouth when I was 21, I'll have you know.

Juliana. I know that you are entirely capable of taking care of yourself, in all types of situations. But I beg you to please be prudent when dealing with Travers. I say this for the sake of what happens to you when Mother finds out her precious youngest is scheming to get rid of a the man she painstakingly found for you. I do imagine locking you in a tower might be the suitable punishment.

I don't think you have to worry about that. They're only giving me two months to do something drastic, hardly enough time--because 'oh darling, wouldn't a wedding in the Alps in April be just breathtaking!'

I know she completely offends your senses, but I've always found her to be rather likable. Personally, I think she's too sensible for him, since she didn't go through with the affair. It shut him up for a week, at any rate.

I'm sure you told them an April wedding in the Alps would be absolutely delightful?

But it begs the question--what does Travers think of all this?
