Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
There really is nothing like a nice relaxing afternoon with alcohol, nudity, and necking in the dormitories. I have to say, yesterday was quite refreshing. I'll need to do it more often.

I need to stop sleeping in and missing breakfast as well. I forgot how amazing the House Elves cook the bacon here. Mum always burns it at home. And here, its perfection. Its practically all I ate. Well, that and a good triple stack of those fantastic strawberry waffles. ...Hell, I need to go down to the kitchen now. Maybe they'll make be a plate now, because I'm hungry just thinking about it.

And I'm bloody sick of Ancient Runes. What kind of professor expects us to translate with just the use of some ruddy medallion with no bloody inscription on it. How on earth am I supposed to use THAT to translate THIS!?

A relaxing afternoon in the dorms? You Ravenclaws really are weird.

And that thing is just why I didn't chose to study runes, just looking at it gives me a headache.

Weird? Maybe. Smart? Yes.

Eh, I figured it would be easier than potions. I suppose I was wrong.

I don't know if you really are smart. I mean, look at Ackerley, he can't even hit right.

You should change class. Seriously, save yourself.

Well granted, I'm not the smartest broom in the closet, mate, but I get by. And some of us are smart in other areas besides books, you know. Well, one book for me.

I think I will. I can't do this. And I think if I read the words wrong something happens...and I don't want to find out what that is.

I haven't seen that smartness anywhere else.

Good for you, I guess. Oh, and if you see Bradely, tell him I want my notebook back.

I think you may be too quick to judge.

I'll tell him but I doubt it'll do much good. Someone certainly seems pompousy today. I did nothing to you.

You think? Yeah, right.

I'm in a bad mood, then everyone does something to me. But I guess you're innocent, so I'm sorry.

Yeah, so lay off those who don't do anything to you, mate.

If you are so bloody sick of Ancient Runes, why did you take the class in the first place?

Oh! Naive move there, Everard. You ought to request a tutor.

Bugger that, I think I'll just change classes.

Glad you were able to relax yesterday.

And you poor thing, stressing over Runes.
Let me help you.

Alright, help then. Because I am lost.

Of course not. Not even for a second.

Fantastic. Later tonight then.
I'm keeping the liquor. I doubt we'll be able to concentrate if it's visible in our line of sight..

You should not sleep in. Go to bed earlier if you're not getting enough sleep.

Oh no, its not that I'm not getting enough. I'm just far too lazy to get out of bed so bloody early.

Not particularly, ours adopted the name after the first few days of trying to decipher it. Unfortunately, it looks like Babbling changed out the stone. Ours was more square last term - had something to do with fertility.

There's a book by Ashworth in the library called My Menhir Has Scribbles Here. I'd suggest looking at Chapter 8 if you can get your hands on it. It'll help get you started

Bugger. I was hopping for some hints from last year's students of this dreadful class.

Right then, I'll hunt that book down if its the last thing I do.
Because I just tried to translate it, and I highly doubt my work is correct.
Somehow "Go into the fire and umbrella the seeing grass through the muddling kip and treasure shall be given to the ox" doesn't seem right.
