Volunteer work (open)
Sin did a lot of charity work around the holidays. Of course, she did charity work all year round, but it seemed that during the Christmas season, she was at her busiest. Sin was involved in several charitable organizations, and helped her father organize charity events for Queen Industries. The corporate lifestyle wasn't for her, but Sin enjoyed helping people.

Today, she was working at the Star City Youth Center, organizing presents for their upcoming Christmas party. Sin was running the event itself, but she was currently organizing donations that had been sent in over the course of the weekend. She was happy with the amount of presents that they'd received so far. A lot of the kids that came to the center after school to play and hang out didn't have much, so Sin knew they'd be happy getting that new doll that they wanted, or skateboard.

Nick was at the Youth Center covering the event. Sure it was different from his usual crime beat, but sometime you just need a nice upbeat story after a lot of bad. So this story was probably going to go to the associated press over his home paper.

He was also helping out where he could at the event. This part of Star reminded him a little of his home in Hub so any help he could give he thought would be nice.

Reporters helping out while working was always nice, in Sin's opinion. "Can you pass me those Barbies over there?" She asked. "I need to wrap and put name tags on them."

"Sure thing," Nick says getting up and grabbing a bunch of packages of Barbies. He also grabbed a bunch of cars for the boys.

"It's really nice that you want to help out," Sin said as she wrapped a couple of Barbies. "Most reporters just want to stand around and ask questions."

"I was raised that you should do something with the information you find out through reporting," Nick says wrapping from his own pile, "Plus my home city is pretty rough." Hub City even with all the work his parents had done there still had the highest crime rate in the country though it was much better than it had once been.

"Sounds like were raised right." Sin said with a smile. "Where are you from? Bludhaven? Gotham? Hub City? Those are probably three of the roughest cities I can think of. In this country, at least."

"Hub City," Nick says, "Mom's actually the mayor there. Been it for a while. People really respect the work and changes she's made for the city. Nice to see a Queen doing such close work in Star City for the people."

"I wasn't always a Queen," Sin said. "Before my parents adopted me, I didn't have much of anything at all. And I know that not everyone in Star City was as lucky as me, growing up. It's nice to give back and help people."

"I've seen as much in my research," Nick says, "Apparently you disappeared for a while before you came back in fishnets." He might have been smirking a bit.

"It's always a good thing to help people out and give back to make your home a better place."

"The fishnets, while impractical, are a tradition." She blushed a little. "I felt like I had to wear them."

"I've found that it's only right that I help those in need. It wouldn't be right if I didn't."

"I understand that," Nick says. He had his own family traditions like that. Though he did rather like his orange socks.

"Completely understand that. Sounds like you are in the hero business for the right reasons there."

"I like to think so."

"So I have to ask are there any other reasons why you are in the hero business?"
