Pyxis had been sleeping like a baby since she and Walden had slept together twice. Her body instantly hit the bed and she was gone into a deep dream. But, on a night like that night, she couldn't sleep at all. She was having a hard time shutting her mind off and she hadn't wanted to be put on sleeping pills.

By the time it was her appointment time, she was groggy, because they'd forced the pills onto her. She stepped into Walden's office, feeling like a zombie as she slumped into the chair in front of his desk. She didn't even say a word. She just looked at him through hollowed eyes.

Walden looked up at Pyxis when she came for their session, smiling at her at first. It faded when he saw the look on her face. "Are you okay?" he asked, getting up to move around the desk. "You look awful."

He touched her forehead and then leaned down to kiss it. Walden just... liked her. He wanted to cuddle her. So he picked her up and sat in the chair, then put her down in his lap, arms wound around her. "What's wrong?"

"I made the mistake of not being able to sleep, or rather, pretending to be asleep during checks." Pyxis looked at Walden as she stared at him, pouting in a grumpy sort of way. He was such a cuddler.

"And they drugged me up." Pyxis pointed out, then grumbled and rested her cheek against his chest. "And now I feel like a zombie. This is why I hate being here. They gave me four medications this morning instead of my normal two."

"I'll talk to them," Walden said, frowning at Pyxis. "I'll make sure they don't give you that sleeping pill again. I don't want you to be a zombie. You're not going to get better if you feel bad."

He kissed her temple, rubbing his thumb against her arm. The way she pouted at him was adorable. She looked so determined. Walden smiled. "You'll feel better by tomorrow, I promise."

"I had been sleeping really good. At least since you and I..." She let her words trail off and looked up at him. A sigh escaped her as she played with a button on his shirt, finger slipping in the button hole.

"And then I just couldn't sleep." Pyxis admitted. "I tried everything to get to sleep. Exercise, counting sheep. Masturbation. Everything and I just couldn't."

"Do you... I mean, do you think doing... that again would help you?" Walden asked Pyxis. If Pyxis wanted to sleep with him because it made her feel better, Walden was okay with that. He'd take silly reasons over none at all.

He played with the ends of her hair. "After you get the drugs out of your system we could try it tomorrow and see if it helps you feel better rested."

Pyxis laughed softly. "I do love the healing powers of your massive and beautiful cock." She informed him, resting against him. She let her eyes close, face hidden in his neck. She nuzzled at him gently and let out a soft sigh.

"I hate being here." Pyxis whispered, shaking her head. "I hate being here in this place. I want to be out. And go on dates. And sleep in a bed that doesn't hurt."

Walden ran his fingers through Pyxis's hair, feeling bad for her. "I want you to get out of here too," he said. "To sleep in a real bed." He kissed her neck. She could come to his flat and sleep in his bed with him. They could have sex someplace other than a chair or a desk.

He kissed the top of Pyxis's head. "I know how hard you're trying. I've been letting Severus know you're doing really well. That you deserve the chance to get out of here, because you do more than anyone else."

"He's very... hands on." Pyxis replied as she looked back at Walden. "He's never been successful. I'm fully capable of taking care of myself. You don't have to do anything."

Pyxis felt really tired now. But, her mind was going a hundred miles per hour. "You know, my entire life, I kind of just wanted someone to notice me." She admitted. "To care about me. And they say I have the same thing as Draco, but I've never thought that someone loved me when they didn't. I've always thought everyone hates me."
