The Great Ideas of Ezra Durlin
The Dads were out -- Savant had been shocked to discover that he hadn't taken his partner to dinner alone in eight months. They were on their own. Not that this was ever a problem. Ezra had been good and taken his meds and everything. Ezra was typing at his computer when suddenly he closed it, left his seat, and slipped into a handstand near his brother. "I have an idea!"

And we have an advantage that dads didn't: years of information about what pisses superheroes off! We just avoid those specific things and it'll all be awesome." Ezra flips rightside up. "Okay, no sign of any Calculator activity, or we'd just have to," Ezra begins, as he walks over to get his laptop again. It hadn't happened often since the twins became part of the family, but they could still hear it occasionally, when Savant woke screaming.

"So instead, here's the plan," he says as he sits down beside Evan with his laptop and brings up a map. "I've read through enough police reports, and in this four-block area, there's been a downturn in succesful apprehensions by capes or police. If we make our initial stand there, we're not intruding on anyone's turf, and we're clearly contributing. Once we've cleaned the place up, between fists and some non-lethal rounds for your guns, the heroes will be impressed with our skills, and the dads'll be proud that we're doing something practical with our time."
