Iris had promised her mother she would go shopping with her this weekend and Iris wasn't about to break a promise to her mother. So she set aside her Sunday to spend it with Mom. Iris had some Christmas shopping to do anyway.

They hit downtown and walked through the retail district of small shops. Mom was in some candle shop and Iris waited outside. The overpowering smells often gave her a headache.

Thomas was in Keystone this time, after more leads. But with Christmas shopping gearing up he figured he might as well do some of it out of Gotham and away from prying eyes. Though he was watching the redhead in front of the candle store out of the corner of his eye. She looked awfully familiar, and while in his world he'd be willing to swear that was Iris, this isn't his world and he can't just assume people were the same as in his. Though he knows the West twins exist here.

Something distracts him down the street and he squints to see what's going on. Were those...antlers?

The sound of jingle bells at this time of the year wasn't anything out of the ordinary. The sound of hoof beats coming down the road was however definitely out of the ordinary. Iris blinked a few times to make sure she saw what she thought she saw.

"What the hell?"

Yes indeed those were antlers peaking out above the crowd. One pair, two pairs, three pairs...and...more?

Soon the crowd of shoppers is parting in confused panic as a herd of twelve...Rudolphs, charges down the street.

"Get into the Christmas spirit people!"

"It's never too early!"

"Do you think we should've started with Rudolph sis? Prancer was always my favorite..."

"Oh quiet, nobody would've been able to tell him apart from Dancer!"

"Why do you always say that? It's obvious isn't it? He prances and Dancer dances! People can't be that stupid!"

"Oh you have got to be kidding me..." This sort of thing should be expected when you went to Keystone. Ugh.

No time or place to fully change into his Robin gear. Luckily he'd just finished tracking a lead and had shrugged on a jacket over the belt and red top of the Robin uniform. Slipping into an alley, he puts the domino mask on along with some gloves and pulls out the bo staff before unzipping the jacket so at least people could see the R and realize who he was. He hoped at least.

Time for some...Rudolph wrangling.

Iris didn't need to duck into an alley to change. She could move fast enough to remove her clothes to expose her costume without anyone seeing her. She headed for the reindeer and grabbed a set of lights along the way to use like rope.

The twins float above the chaos in what looks like Santa's sleigh. "What is that girl doing Cindy?"

"Ruining our fun clearly. She doesn't like our gift for the twelfth day of Christmas.."

"Maybe she'll like the eleventh more?" Sandy reaches opens up her bag and a bunch of two foot tall elves with classic hats and jingle bells jump out and scurry among the shoppers, tripping them, pulling on things, scaring everything in their way. What's worse is they seem to be squeaking things as they go...which it turns out is humming for them.

Yep, they're squeak humming It's a Small World After All.

Robin had started trying to wrap up the Rudolphs with both bolos and his grappling gun used in creative ways. And between him and Kid Flash it looked like they'd get these things wrapped up quickly.

Not to be.

The elves try climbing onto the two heroes who are ruining their fun and full out squeak singing the song into their ears. Oh this was not fun.

Thomas starts flinging the elves off his arms but more come to replace them. "Ir-Kid Flash! You know who these two are?" He's now playing baseball with these things and trying to bat them away with a bo staff.

Who knew two foot tall things could be so goddamn annoying?

"It's Impulse!" she yelled and ran circles around a few reindeer to stop them.

"They're annoying is what they are," she said. "They're the Trickster Twins."

Iris grabbed a trashcan and rolled it like a bowling ball toward the elves.

"Impulse? But you were already-oh screw it. Doesn't matter." Alternate dimension confusion was not fun.

"Anything about their powers?" He asks as he jumps up to avoid the garbage can bowling over some of the elves. No, this wasn't going to do, especially not with that Rudolph charging at him. He dives to the side and lets Rudolph hit some elves and then, he still can't believe he's doing this, jumps onto the back of the reindeer and wraps his extended grappling line to use as reigns of a sort.

Quite the odd sight. A half-civies dressed Robin riding a Rudolph using a bat line as reigns. "First time for everything!"

The elves don't let up though, and many get back to their feet and charge at the speedster and try to all grab onto her.

"Oh look! They're finally playing with them! Elf bowling and Ride the Rudolph! At least some people here are getting into the spirit."

"Well they're still going to try and stop it! Ready for the tenth night?"

"Sure! Let's show 'em more fun!"

This time out of the bag come ten giant present boxes that seem to be made of...gingerbread?

Okay. Giant gingerbread wasn't bad. Not nearly as running reindeer or elves. Iris knocked the elves trying to grab her away.

"We have to get the bags away from them!" she yelled to Robin. When did they get a Robin?

Robin seemed to think so too and yanks his Rudolph in the direction of a bunch of the elves in front of one of the gingerbread boxes, making sure that as he and the rudolph go charging at it, they bowl over a bunch of elves.

Rudolph (number unknown) goes crashing into the gingerbread present, antlers first and Robin releases the reigns to flip over the top and escape the crash. "Bags? Alright, because they've only gotten to the tenth day of Christmas bit, we don't need anymore."

Oh look, the Rudolph and a few of the elves were munching on the ginger bread remains of that present.

"This is just getting ridiculous," Robin mutters.

"What?! I thought you were going to put the ninth day present inside the gingerbread presents?!"

"How am I supposed to know that? You just said 'Let's make present boxes of gingerbread', and I said sure because why not even though it was a stupid idea!"

"Who makes empty presents?!"

"Oh just release the ninth present."

"No. You do it. I'm not going to have you yell at me again for your own silly ideas."

"Fine, but next time we discuss things if we're following a plan like this. I liked our improv better..."

The bag opens again and this time nine giant grinning snowmen jump down to attack the heroes and bystanders with snowballs. Though these snowmen had Superman capes on for whatever reason. At least they didn't seem able to fly.

"The bags!" Iris yelled and pointed. She grabbed another string of lights and started swinging it around in a circle off to the side. Then she charged ahead toward the snowmen, making sure she went through as many elves as she cold.

"I'm aware," Thomas yelled back as a snowball narrowly missed his head. "Just hold them off for a moment." Pulling out his extra grappling gun, he had no time to untangle the other from the reindeer incident, he aims and shoots a line up at the floating Santa sleigh in the sky and zooms up amidst the chaos of snowballs, elves flinging bits of gingerbread and each other at him, and shoppers running around in panic.

"Sorry ladies, end of the line here." And he dives forward in the sleigh to make a grab for the bags.

"What is he doing Cindy? He's not supposed to do that!"

"One of you Christmas things! Stop him!"

But Robin's already up on the sleigh by the time they yell that out.

"No! You're not getting the bags!" And Cindy tries to jump away but her bag is still snatched out of her hands. Unfortunately, in doing so, she pushed her sister, who was already trying to get away from the vigilante, and Sandy goes over the side of the sleigh where she lands with a loud plop on top of one of the snowmen that's decided to be a sniper and station himself in one spot.

"Impulse! There's one for you!" Robins yell comes from the floating sleigh if the girl can hear it despite the general Christmas-themed chaos.

Iris ran and headed for the bag. She ran in, ran a circle around the girl to confuse her and then tried to grab the bag.

Sandy is too dazed from the fall to do anything to prevent Iris from snatching the bag, and the elves nearby are munching on remains of the gingerbread boxes.

When Iris snatches the bag everything fades at once. No more annoying squeaking elves, crazed caped snowmen, rudolph on rampage or gingerbread presents.

"What'd you have to go and do that for?"

Iris grabbed a string of lights and wrapped it around Sandy. "Be back in a few seconds," she said and grabbed each girl before taking off.

Two minutes later she was back. "They're in police custody and are going to stay there."

"Nice! Glad that one was wrapped up," he smiles. "Celebratory hot chocolate or something? Not the season for ice cream." If he seems more relaxed and friendly around her for someone he's just met it's because while he consciously knows he doesn't actually know this Iris, part of him forgets that and associates her with one he knows. Probably why he doesn't introduce himself, but not like he needs to. The costume and mask do the job for him.

"Fun is an interesting way of putting it," he chuckles. "Good luck with the shopping, though I think just maybe she'll have noticed the chaos by now. And a preemptive merry Christmas and all that, and to your brother too," he waves as he goes.
