Shark in the Water
The cartel had been setting up a large operation to bring cocaine into Gotham City. The group was experienced and feared their employers more than the crimefighters of Gotham. Unfortunately for them, they had failed to take into account something far worse that was taking hold within the city. The attack had been very sudden. At first a sniper started picking them off, and then..a massacre ensued. Nearly the entire operation's worth of soldiers were dead. Only a select few still lived. Oddly enough. their entire shipment of cocaine had remained untouched.

In Gotham you expected the unexpected really, but at the same time one got jaded really easily in this city. It was hard for things to be surprising or new, not that the scene he found was new, but it sure was unexpected.

Entering the warehouse where he knew the cartel was set up, it'd been too quiet recently, he saw the scene. Which was...surprising to say the least. These hadn't been amateurs. Who'd done this? Those new Shiva connected 'vigilantes'? A rival cartel? Mob boss angry at the intrusion into his territory? In Gotham there was no shortage of suspects.

As he stepped through the scene he noted the differences in causes of death. Clearly some had been picked off first. Sniper obviously. But the rest...ah good, survivors.

Robin yanked the first bloody one he found to his feet. "Care to tell me what happened here?" There was just an edge of menace in his voice. This sort of killing could not pass, not while he was on watch.

	Sounded like something in the vein of Croc so far. Not the shiva ones most likely, this was a new thing from the looks of it. "How many? What did they look like?" 	Shark? Ah. Well that was a lead. He'd warned Warren about this, but the man had gone ahead and pulled off a massacre in this city anyway. This wasn't going to be allowed. First, to find out what this team was and through what channels he'd managed this. "Anything else? Why leave the drugs?" Obviously just to make an impression but still. Thomas does not look amused in the least. He levels a piercing bat glare at the man and slams him upright against the nearby pillar. "No operation is an island. You had to get your drugs from somewhere and you had to give them to someone to sell. Now: Did They Take The Rest Out?" Because if not he had time to stop and catch them, if yes, there might be more clues at the hidden scenes. Or at least something.

Guess he'd find out soon enough. "We'll find out if that's a 'was' now then." He dropped the thug, there wasn't much more he could get out of the man really. Blood loss, trauma and shock limited things, not to mention he was low on the rungs. Well, police called via alert on his belt, now he had until they showed up to look through the place more, maybe get some info on the kind of injuries they wrought and the way they fought based on injuries. Then to go look into Peters and Warren's recent doings.
