Pub Crawl
Dolemeck decided to take Bram up on his offer of a good old fashioned Pub Crawl. Well, old fashioned from Bram, as Dolemeck lived in a time when pubs and taverns did not really exist yet. Dressed in an outfit like the one he wore they first met in (White dress shirt, black vest, black dress slacks, and black leather dress shoes), Dolemeck waited form Bram outside of his new workplace, Starbucks. It was best that Bram pick him up, as he still did not know his way around the city, or which places were safe to go to, yet.

Bram showed up in a red Aston Martin to pick up Dolemeck. He didn't take night off very often and when he did he made sure to pack as much fun into it as possible. He had talked to few people and figured out where some nice bars and clubs were in Seattle.

"That is an incredible car. I have well, never seen one like it before." He smiled, walking around to get into the passenger's side of the car. "Thank you for inviting me along on this pub crawl. I was worried I have been depressing Tyler as of late, or confusing him with how I have been cleaning up his apartment when not asked to. So leaving his apartment for a night might be more in his best interest than mine!"

"Thanks. I like to travel in style when I plan on staying some play. You should see that car's I've got back home," Bram says proud of the car. Plus the anti-supernatural modification he had made to it.

"No problem," He says opening the door for him, "I don't really take many nights off so it's good to have a little company for one of these." He had been told a few times that he should take the time to relax a little more often not that it was likely to happen.

"I can relate in a way. I rarely go out myself, unless it is to work and back. Maybe to a library if I have the energy to go." He smiled, closing his door and then putting on his seat belt. "You have more cars back home, as in England? That is quite impressive. Though talk of "home" has me wondering what Baths looks like these days."

Dolemeck shook his head, decided to change the subject. "Why do you not take time off that much, Bram? Are the vampires that much of a problem in Seattle that you must always be working?"

"For all intensive purposes hunting monsters is my job," Bram says, "And if I don't do my job innocent people will get hurt. So I don't really like to take time off unless I really need to unwind."

"No really I branched out of just vampires after there was a spell that got rid of all vampires except for Uncle Hannibal. Unfortunately someone reversed it. So I do a lot of work and travel battling those types of threats. And when I'm not doing that work I do a lot of work to help out the contacts and allies I'm got around the planet," Bram explains. He had worked hard to expand the network his grandpa had established before he had dead.

"It is like when I was a Knight. If you did not do your job, innocents were hurt, villages pillaged, churches burned..." Dolemeck frowned a little. "But in the end, our own knights did the same thing when we were ordered to take more land. I was thankful my Lord and myself were only tasked with protecting our own people, current land that was under the crown, and not with the others who claimed more on behalf of Arthur. History would say we were the bad guys, and history is correct. Terrible things were done on behalf of the crown, and if I had not been banished, I would have changed so much. Probably the reason I was cursed and turned into a demon in the first place."

He gave off a small laugh, otherwise he might cry. He had to remember what Doctor Samson told him. he cannot change his past, just learn from it and work on his future.

"Oddly enough, we did have vampires back in my time as well. There were reports of young, virginal maidens walking off into the forest as if in a trance, never to be seen again. Arthur ignored these reports, he was too power hungry by this time. But a scribe in his court often took notes about such incidents."

"I'm afraid I don't really know much about that period of time," Bram says as he starts driving again, "Kind of focus on other things when I do research."

"Vampires have been around for a long time. Since before Atlantis sank created by powerful dark magic. There's reports of things like them all over the world."

"My apologies. I am still getting used to the fact most people have no bloody clue what I speak of." He gave off a weak smile.

"Aye, I remember the reports from back in my day. Granted Arthur was too busy to care. But if he had acted on the reports the scribe gave him on Morgan La Fey, I would not be here today." He placed his hands behind his head as he relaxed a bit in the car. "And if I was not here today, I would not be going to a pub with you, or trying to join the Nightstalkers."

"It's amazing how much of history gets lost, misplaced or forgotten," Bram laments, "That's what happened to that vampire sell I mentioned."

"Hindsight is 20-20 after all. Not much can be done about that type of thing now. But at least you are making the most of your situation."

"I do not have a choice in the matter, really." he continued to smile a little. "I either adapt and keep going or wait until the end comes. No one knows wen that will be, so I figure I will do as much good as I can. Once a Knight, always a knight I suppose."

"I can help in regards to what the Scribe told me in my time, but I know not how useful such information will be for you, Bram." His unusual green eyes looked at himself in the rear view mirror for a moment before he turned his attention back to Bram. "If not, I have other uses! Like if you find anything written in "Old English", I can translate it for you."

"There are definitely worse ways to go than fighting the good fight," Bram says. Grandpa Quincy taught him that. Dracula getting the crap beaten out of him by an old dying cripple, that would certainly have been a sight to see.

"Thanks I'll definitely keep that in mind. Always good to have another contact."

"Aye, contacts are important!" He gave a small nod of his head. "Plus I told Tyler I wished to join the Nightstalkers and do as much as I can for your group. I feel compelled not just to join, but to do something good in my life. Not everyone gets a second chance as I did."

"Though forgive me if I wish to one day find the old scribe's book from my time. Might be out-dated, but it would be interesting to see what Harker wrote." That and he prayed there was nothing bad about him inside of that book. he was already featured in "The Wife of Baths", and did not need to be remembered in an even WORSE light.

"Well I would say that killing monsters and protecting people from the supernatural world they don't even know exists is definitely something good to do with your life," Bram says.

"Well good luck with that project if yo decide to go after it," Bram says. Though he doubted it would have survived unless the rumors he had heard about Camelot and King Arthur and his court being moved to Avalon in the Otherworld was true.

The Very Next Day

Dolemeck was sitting by Bram's car in the parking lot. The gentlemen he went back with to the hotel room had been kind to him. The two drank more, he spoke at length about himself, he heard of more tales of Scotland, and eventually the two retired to bed. Nothing had happened between the two men. But there was an agreed mutual attraction between the two and talk that they may explore such, but when they were both sober and of sound mind.

He had been dropped back off by the now closed pub and just sat beside Bram's car, part of his shirt tucked in while the other was out, and two parts of his hair braided back into a ponytail behind his head.

Bram came running by dressed in his workout clothes to pick up his car. His night had ended rather well in his opinion and was totally worth the little bit of a hangover he had right now. Plus she was still just as pretty as he remembered her from the night before when he woke up which was also a good thing.

"Kind of surprised to see you here," Bram admits when he saw Dolemeck by his car.

"Well, I actually do not remember how to get back to Tyler's apartment. So I waited for you to come back to possibly aide me in getting back there." He had a bit of a nervous smile on his face as he stood up. "Well, only if you have time and wish to. I do not wish to burden you."

One of his eyebrows raised as he took note at how... well, happy Bram appeared to be. "You look rather cheerful. Good night, eh? Who did you leave with?"

Bram grinned. "A rather pretty brunette. But that's all I've got to say on that."

"Good for you." He could not help but chuckle at the grin that Bram gave off. Dolemeck waited for his side of the door to click before opening it and getting back inside. "Must have been something amazing to make you grin like that!"

"I had an interesting time myself. Granted nothing happened between the two of us, as I was too sauced to consent to anything." He rubbed the back of his head, feeling nervous telling Bram about this. But he was a friend, now. So that made it okay, right? "We're thinking of meeting one and other again. Something more formal and less... umm... drunk? I mean, it feels too soon for me to be in a relationship, but I am curious about some feelings I have."

"It was definitely a good night," Bram says grinning from the memories.

"Well I don't really know much about relationships," Bram admits, "What happened last night it about all the experience I have. But I guess my best advice would be to go for it if you really want to find out."

"So, you only know...." He blinked. "Well, could be worse. Truth is, I was in love with someone I met for a short time. I just was never able to tell them, and now it's too late."

"This is an opportunity to try again, aye. But am I greedy for taking it, considering the lives we lead?" He placed his black thumbnail in his mouth as he thought. "I think that lady of yours left her mark on your neck, Bram... I believe it's called a hickie, aye? That or she wrote on you with lipstick."

"I believe the saying on that is Carpe diem," Bram says, "But you've got to do what you think is right for you."

"That's probably just a trick of the light," Bram explains. He wasn't exactly comfortable with that type of thing being done to him at all thanks to vampires. Usually played it off as a personality queer if asked when he made the girl stop.

"You mean "Seize the Day"? You speak truthfully as usual. I mean, you were honest about wishing to shoot me when we first met." Dolemeck looked back on that and laughed a little bit to himself. "Any man that admits he wants me dead, then becomes my friend is a friend worth having for life."

He gave a nod, believing that Bram could be right and it was a trick of the light.

"You said... you study the Supernatural, aye? Just like Tyler? Bram, I have a request to make of you, if possible." He gave a small grin. "Is it possible you can figure out what the bloody hell I am? I mean... I look human, but I hold demonic powers. And for some unknown reason, I cannot tan... so I am always this... errr... British pale. Hell, I do not even burn... and that is something I am told we Englishmen do well!"

Bram nodded. "Though that does not mean I'll hesitate to shoot you if I have too." It was one of the most important lessons his grandfather taught him. You don't let friends become monsters. That's why his grandpa killed his mom on her request.

"Aye. I do knowledge is the best weapon against the supernatural." He listened to what Dolemeck told him about his condition. "I'll see what I can find out about it though this kind of research takes time. Also demons are a big specialty of mine. I more just know enough to kill them."

"That will never happen." His tone came off as meek as his eyes soon looked at himself in the side view mirror. "I admit I am far from perfect, but I have no desire to hurt humanity, Bram. The only time I would do harm is if I see innocents injured or friends in trouble."

"But you are right. Anything can happen in this world. And if you do have to shoot me, please just make it quick and painless. I have suffered enough, more than any being should. Adding to that suffering does me no favors, and as my friend... I doubt you would want me to linger in pain if I had to die." This talk became grim, enough that he actually shook at the thought of losing himself to the point his friends would have to put him down like a beast. He shook his head, changing the subject.

"Whatever you need to study me, I will provide. And I can wait as long as I must for an answer. I do not know if there are other beings like me, or if I am just something unique to the demon world. Demons with souls are just... unheard of."

"I've seen it happen before to people," Bram says grimly, "It's never easy but it needs to be done. For the memory of the person they were." It's what happened to Taj and it took a lot of work to take him down. Bram was kind of glad he hadn't been there to see that.

"I would need to do some research before I could tell you anything about that."
