"Our relationship was not any kind of condition of my securing the pardon, that's not why I did it. I realize it's unprofessional, especially to let things move so fast, but it wasn't any sort of plan to take advantage of him, I just want to be clear about that."

She's just slightly nonplussed for a moment. "Oh."

Then nods. "Thank you, Dr. Samson. I'll remember that." A breath. "So, on that account, we're waiting to tell the team about us until there's been a bit more time to adjust, and my brother in America is ... 'covering for me' until I'm ready to tell my father. In regards to work, it's going... well enough, though we have an unusual setup."

I'd like to wait until Keiji's somewhat in a position to be able to stand being in the same room with him before I talk to him about us.
