The Quest for Thor (Kael)
Thor had gone to battle the Hulk and the damage and destruction from their fight was quite evident. One could follow the course of the fight by following the damage. Trees were uprooted, boulders were smashed to pebbles and there were huge rents in the land.

The trail of destruction led away from the city and toward the mountains.

Kael had followed the path of destruction, both awed, impressed, and honestly a little wary by the devastation. He steeled himself, trying to fight off the part of him that would relish the challenge of such a fight.

"Stay wary," he said to the Asgardian warriors accompanying him. "By all accounts the Hulk is a force we cannot face head-on. Our task is to find Lord Thor and bring him back to Asgard. Keep yourselves alive in the meantime, you're needed if Ragnarok and is truly upon us." Kael hoped he threw enough warrior-logic to make the good-sense sound feasible to them.

	Kael was used to commanding hostile or resentful troops, so this didn't bother him in the slightest. He did make it a point not to be careful of how he said things. Still, he kept the bulk of his focus on finding Thor. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"A fight between Lord Thor and the Hulk would not be subtle in the least. There would be little point on stealth, but it would be something else entirely if the instigators of this conflict decide to investigate themselves." Kael said, thinking aloud as much as speaking to the commander. "Very well, but be cautious. The absence of Malekith's followers from the battle at Asgard worries me. It could mean something more subtle is going on."

	The commander motioned to one of his men and the warrior set off running. They continued to survey the damage and continue the search for Thor. About thirty minutes later the scout came back. "There ist a party of trolls up ahead," he said. "They art carrying the body of Lord Thor. He doth appear alive, but unconscious." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Kael draws his own sword and quietly, but swiftly, makes his way down the path shown by the scout. He trusts the Aesir to follow his lead..at least he wouldn't have to worry about a knife in the back. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Kael stopped in an area roughly in the middle of the procession at the time. He watched as the scouts split into ambush position. Very efficient. The Aesir could be surprisingly stealthy when they wanted to be. When the procession's end was just past him, Kael gave a silent hand signal before charging down the bank, swinging his sword sown at the hamstring's of the closest troll to the back.

The troll roared in pain when Kael's sword bit into this hamstring. The four other trolls stopped and were just a bit confused to what just happened.

The Asgardian Warriors charged in and each took a troll. In terms of numbers it was an even fight, but Kael and the warriors definitely were more skilled.

The troll carrying Thor over his shoulder dropped Thor on the ground and grabbed his club.

	When the troll was distracted by the cut to his hamstring, Kael hauled off and punched it across the face, hoping to knock it out early. He saw the other troll arm itself with a club and prepared to meet it. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The troll was hit, but not knocked out. Thick skulls made it harder to knock them out with one blow. It did stumble to the side. The other troll came at Kael and had his club ready to strike. The Asgardian warriors were cautious attacking the trolls, darting in for quick strikes before dodging out of the way of the clubs. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	It's never easy. He draws his other sword from his back. Both swords in hand, he takes advanatage of the speed of his elven heritage, darting from blows and striking fast and hard as often as possible. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

The troll that had been hamstrung before roared when Kael's sword bit into him. He swung two large fists at Kael. The troll with the club ended up dropping the club as Kale's second sword bit into his sword hand wrist.

The Asgardians continued their quick attacks and tried to dodge the clubs. One warrior got hit and went flying backward, but a fellow warrior pressed the attack and drove his sword through the troll's stomach.

	Kael managed to dodge the first punch, but the second connected. Kael's head snapped back, but he stayed on his feet. He stared at the troll, cracked his neck, and put his swords away. He charged in and threw a series of punches at the troll. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

The troll took the punches and tried to counter with two punches of his own. The other troll picked up a club and took a swing at Kael. Unfortunately for the one Kael was punching, Kael was smaller and quicker, making the swing miss him but hit the troll. It gave a perfect opening for Kael.

The Asgardians were still working on their trolls using attack and feint maneuvers.

	And he doesn't waste it, quickly moving in with a hard uppercut on the troll with the club before sending a kick to the stomach of the other troll. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

The troll hit by the uppercut went stumbling backward and into another troll. That troll went forward and landed on the pointy end of an Asgardian sword. The troll kicked in the stomach doubled over.

Two trolls were on the ground dying and a third fell to his knees from a blow across his stomach. The warrior facing him followed up with a slice across the troll's throat sending arterial spray everywhere.

	The troll that had doubled over started to climb to his feet. The four Asgardian warriors were facing off against the two remaining trolls. The trolls were big and slow and used heavy clubs. The Asgardians were smaller and quicker and they used very sharp swords. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	These trolls were stupid as they were ugly. They were also stubborn too. The one rising to his feet was knocked flat on the ground. He wasn't unconscious yet. "It gets us Thor," one said a second before he was slashed across the stomach. His hands went to the wound as he tried to keep his guts from spilling out. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"Stop!" Kael ordered. "And getting Thor gets you Odin's wrath, and then you won't even have what you possess in your homes! You don't have to die if you leave now! 	The trolls laughed. "Odin's asleep and won't be waking up." They all pressed the attack. The one facing Kael grabbed a nearby head sized rock and threw it at the dark elf. The Asgardian warriors all rushed the other two. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The troll was too big and slow to move out the way. The twin swords sliced through thick hide. The two trolls the Asgardians were facing went down. One fell to his knees and a fast swipe of the sword took his head off. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
