Dearest Adrian,

First of all, Merry Christmas. I hope the holidays were everything you wished for. I know my own Christmas was... well, to be honest, it wasn't quite as good as last year. But it was still pleasant.

Secondly, I feel I owe you an apology for telling you that I may visit the Ministry and share a lunch with you. Unfortunately with the holidays being the way they are my mother went into panic mode again and decided to enlist me onto the house decorating squad. Of course, our House Elves are getting on a bit in age so I was forced to tell them several times to move the tree to the left. Hopeless, I tell you. Utterly hopeless. Anyway, to cut a long story short, I hadn't the time to visit you before Christmas like planned and for that I am sorry.

Lastly, I was wondering if you had any plans for New Year. I know I could simply ask you at the Hogwarts Tournament today but I felt writing you personally might make the plans more concrete. I, personally, am not doing anything as of yet but I hear some of the old families are gathering together at Madam Undersecretary Bellatrix Lestrange's manor. So, Mr. Pucey, what are your plans to ring in the New Year? Do you mind if I accompany you?

Lovely Pansy,
I must say I was very happy to return to Hogsmeade and find your note waiting for me. My holiday was pleasant, though Italy in December is usually a bit too warm for my taste. My parents send their regards to you and yours, of course.

I hadn't thought ahead to the New Year, to be quite honest, most of my energies have been focused upon the Tournament, which I'll be flying in with Slytherin. Of course, with all of our professional alums, I don't know how much I'll actually have to do while in the air. I would love to see you at the party afterwards, if you haven't already got an escort? I would hate to deprive someone of better planning habits an evening with you.

If you would accompany me to the Lestrange's for the New Year, I would be most overwhelmed. In the best possible way. You won't by any chance be wearing green, will you?

I heard you were to be flying for Slytherin through one of Daddy's friends who is on the Hogwarts Board of Directors. I am sure there are quite a number of players put out by the fact you are on the team but I feel they selected the best. ~~Additionally, I am highly amused they did not select Draco.~~

I will be attending the party afterward and the only escorts I have for the evening are Daphne and her sister. However, I am sure they will not mind if you steal me away for the evening.

Of course I'll be wearing green. Daddy bought me lovely emerald earrings for Christmas from his last business trip and they are just dying to be shown off. I think a fine event such as the Lestrange's New Year celebrations is just the perfect moment to premiere them, don't you?
