14. Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics?
Every person has many defining characteristics. I suppose mine would be my habit of using my hands to speak - I gesture far too much.

88. Are you generally introverted or extroverted?
Some strange mix of both, I think. I am not shy, but I am not talkative either. I am friendly, but don't offer up information immediately. Somewhere in-between.

3. Who are/were your parents? (Know their names, occupations, personalities, etc.)
My mother, Drina, is a seamstress. She is devoted, loyal, hard-working, and an incredible card reader. My mother says that my father was a doctor who went to war.

86. What is your greatest weakness?
Absolutely and unequivocally, love.

84. Describe the routine of a normal day for you. How do you feel when this routine is disrupted?
I wake up alone. I shower, I dress, I make myself breakfast and tea. I go to work and teach classes. I sit in my office, and eventually I go home quite alone. When it is disrupted? I am relieved.

52. Who or what, if anything, would you die for (or otherwise go to extremes for)?
For love - for the love of my family, for the love of Poe. I would do anything for them.

10. Are you right- or left-handed?
Right-handed.

9. Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses?
None that I am aware of.

12. What words and/or phrases do you use very frequently?
I generally give nicknames to those I care about, and I use them frequently in talking to them.

67. Do you tend to take on leadership roles in social situations?
Yes, if the situation calls for it. If there is no need for immediate leadership, I am content to stand back and observe. If someone needs to take charge, I am more than willing to step in.

18. Did you enjoy school?
Not especially, not back in Georgia anyway. At Lowood, it's better, but school is still pretty boring.

33. What is the most evil thing you have ever done?
Wore brown pants and a black shirt. No, probably... I think I spread rumors about a girl I didn't like in grade school once.

21. While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family?
Alright. My sisters and I got along, but they always thought I was kind of weird. My mom likes me, I think. Daddy liked me a lot when I was real little, less when I was older.

23. As a child, what were your favorite activities?
Reading and dressing up. I loved to put on one of my dad's ties and pretend to be a movie star. I loved to watch all these great old movies and pretend I was Clark Gable or Cary Grant.

82. Are you spontaneous, or do you always need to have a plan?
Oh Lord... I don't know! I guess I like having a plan, but I don't mind surprises either. And I'm not neurotic about planning things out either. I don't lose it when my plan gets changed.

46. In your opinion, what is the most evil thing any human being could do?
Paisley. Whoever invented it and whoever wears it - clearly pure unadulterated evil.

55. Who is the person you respect the most, and why?
My daddy. He's the smartest man in the world.

45. Are you able to kill? Under what circumstances do you find killing to be acceptable or unacceptable?
Oh Lord, I could never do it. If my life was in danger and someone was trying to hurt me, I would think it was justified, but I'm just too much of a chicken to be able to fight someone or kill them. Physically, I can't kill someone. Philosophically, I believe it could be justified.

35. When was the time you were the most frightened?
Standing on the edge of that bridge and believing, then, that it was all about to end. It was terrifying.

62. Who would you turn to if you were in desperate need of help?
I don't know. I'm not sure I would know who to go to.

44. What are your views on sex?
It is a special secret, only for husbands and wives.

3. Who are/were your parents? (Know their names, occupations, personalities, etc.)
My father is George. He is a Professional man with a very officious manner. He enjoys balancing books and snug bow ties, and has the floor of his car vacuumed every third Saturday. My mother is Mary. She is the most magnificent woman. She supports my father just so that he thinks he stands of his own accord, but really she is the only thing keeping him upright. And when he says, "Mary, look how well I stand!" she says, "Oh George, you do stand so tall and strong!" and he feels that all is right with the world while my mother shares a smile with herself.

94. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In two years, Peter will ask me to marry him and I will say yes. We will have a wedding in a little chapel, and I will wear white jasmine flowers in my hair and take off my shoes at the reception because they hurt too much. In three years, we'll buy a house with roses creeping up the side and white shutters on the windows. In four, we'll get a puppy that Peter will name and run in the yard with and in five years, I'll finally have learned to cook the perfect pot roast.

75. What is your idea of good entertainment (consider music, movies, art, etc.)?
Of course I love to walk through the art museums and visit Manet and Gaugin, but the best entertainment of all is a good story.

62. Who would you turn to if you were in desperate need of help?
Peter, of course. Peter would certainly know what to do. He is brave and very clever. Besides, husbands and wives make decisions together.

92. What are your reasons for being an adventurer (or doing the strange and heroic things that RPG characters do)? Are your real reasons for doing this different than the ones you tell people in public? (If so, detail both sets of reasons...)
I can feel my heartbeat in my fingertips. That is why I love adventure. It would be very easy to take my pulse.

60. How close are you to your family?
Oh, they live all the way up in Seattle. It's an awfully long trek.

18. Did you enjoy school?
Oh no, it's so terribly boring. I was always in trouble for daydreaming and drawing in my schoolbooks, and for telling stories that made the boy with the bump on his nose too scared to sleep at night.

93. What goal do you most want to accomplish in your lifetime?
I want to be a wife and have babies, and I also want to fight pirates.

83. What are your pet peeves?
Burning dinner and taking medicine. My dad telling me to grow up.

40. Are you basically optimistic or pessimistic?
Oh, I'm an optimist. Even when things go wrong, I'm cute enough to make it through alright.

18. Did you enjoy school?
I enjoy learning things, but most of the time I feel like I already know everything they teach in school. I'd rather teach myself.

97. What is the one thing for which you would most like to be remembered after your death?
For loving well and learning much.

79. What, if anything, shocks or offends you?
Why, I am a proper lady, so just about anything that offends my strict sensibilities! No, honestly, barely anything shocks me. I think virgins shock and offend me, and girls who don't masturbate. Poor things.

60. How close are you to your family?
My sisters and I are all best friends, and my mother is the coolest woman ever. And I think I'm going to take Jacob to meet them this summer, but I haven't told him about that yet.

58. Have you ever been in love? If so, describe what happened.
I was totally in love with that guy from the Cape with the tongue ring, oh my god. That was love.

16. What is your earliest memory?
Just playing with my sisters and stuff. Beating the crap out of a boy in daycare and getting kicked out, I remember that too.

64. If you died or went missing, who would miss you?
My sisters and my mom, even if it would probably take them ages and ages to notice. Jacob would either miss me or be really, really relieved. I'm not sure.

75. What is your idea of good entertainment (consider music, movies, art, etc.)?
Sex. Books. Discovery Channel. In that order.

20. While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them.
My mom has always been my role model. Independent and driven, smart, and totally uninhibited.

27. Are you a virgin? If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity?
Oh. Well. Her name was Jennifer. No, I mean, her name still is Jennifer, it didn't change after... Yeah, so anyway, I was nineteen. I guess it was sort of her idea, but I was thinking about it anyway. But um, I guess that's not part of the question.

29. What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?
Oh my god, that's... a heavy question. I guess it would be... graduating from the police academy, right? Getting my position as captain, maybe, actually.

24. As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display?
I guess I was kind of bossy, but I think I was mostly normal. I looked after my sisters and stuff. I was your average kid.

60. How close are you to your family?
God, I'm like... my sisters and I are constantly in contact. I'm definitely really close to them. My dad and mom are there, and I look up to my dad, but it's so different from how close my sisters and I are.

65. Who is the person you despise the most, and why?
Oh god, Guy fucking Gisbourne. Why? Don't even get me started.

87. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Only one thing? I'd just be... better. Easier to love. I wouldn't be alone.

57. Do you have a spouse or significant other? If so, describe this person.
No, I don't really have a significant other. I'm kind of seeing this girl. I guess "talking to her" is the proper terminology. She's really fantastic, but also totally out of my league and bound to realize it pretty soon.

52. Who or what, if anything, would you die for (or otherwise go to extremes for)?
I would die for justice. To save someone, to help someone. I would die for my family. I would die for something I believe in.

90. Name three things you consider yourself to be very good at, and three things you consider yourself to be very bad at.
Well, I'm really good at driving long distances, playing basketball, and I'm kind of an excellent shot I guess. I did really well at this sniper training seminar we did. Bad at? I'm bad at people. I'm bad at cooking. I'm really bad at telling jokes because I always forget the punchline.

40. Are you basically optimistic or pessimistic?
I guess I'm optimistic. I always believe people can get better and will do the right thing. So yeah, optimistic.

62. Who would you turn to if you were in desperate need of help?
Eli. If something were that serious, I would tell him first anyway, and even just getting it out there would help.

37. If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why?
Lord, there are so many things I wish I could change. I think about this shit every day and every night, just wishin' I could change something. If I could only pick one thing, then I would never have let them do shock treatments on my sister.

36. What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you?
It might seem stupid, but facing Eli's parents. I ain't never felt so low, so much like dirt, than when I was crawlin' in front of them beggin' to be accepted by a family that I got no place bein' a part of.

27. Are you a virgin? If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity?
Lord, no. I ain't a virgin. And I don't remember her name, or his. I don't know if I ever even knew either of their names.

46. In your opinion, what is the most evil thing any human being could do?
Hurt a child. Even look at a kid the wrong way. Nothing gets me more 'n that.

32. What is your greatest regret?
Once again, I got so many, the idea of pickin' one awful thing I done as worse'n the rest is ridiculous. It's all bad. My greatest regret? Not takin' better care of my sister, again.

74. What, if anything, do you like to read?
Stories about people. Flawed, fucked up, real people. People I know, people I seen, people who are a little bit like me.

99. What three words would others probably use to describe you?
bad no-good mongrel

56. Who are your friends? Do you have a best friend? Describe these people.
I got lots o' nice lady friends. Juanita, Laura, Wendy. All don't judge me, all know where I'm comin' from one way or another. My best friend? That's Eli. He's got my heart an' everything else.

100. If you could, what advice would you, the player, give to your character? (You might even want to speak as if he or she were sitting right here in front of you, and use proper tone so he or she might heed your advice...)
Dear Tennessee Williams,
Quit playin' games with Oscar Wilde's heart, you oversized jerkwad.
Sincerely,

32. What is your greatest regret?
Oh. Well. I mean, I guess I regret not spending every night with Gabe that I could. He's back now, but I still feel like I missed so much time with him.

9. Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses?
I have really big feet. And there's a funny shaped birthmark on my arm that I think is going to take over my body. It's shaped like a tophat.

28. If you are a supernatural being (i.e. mage, werewolf, vampire), tell the story of how you became what you are or first learned of your own abilities. If you are just a normal human, describe any influences in your past that led you to do the things you do today.
I'm... what? Vampires?

70. What is/are your favorite hobbies and pastimes?
Oh, well I love collecting shells and planting flowers. I like to write stories, too. I think Gabe is my favorite pastime, though. I like kissing him and talking to him and sleeping with him.

22. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A giraffe. They're yellow and everyone gives them cookies at the zoo.

13. What do you have in your pockets?
I have a wallet, some melted chocolates, a rock I found, and my key. It has a rabbit's foot on the key chain, but I don't think it's real rabbit's foot because it's yellow and I've never seen a yellow rabbit before. But maybe that's why it's lucky, because yellow rabbits are so rare.

75. What is your idea of good entertainment (consider music, movies, art, etc.)?
Gabe, minus pants.

37. If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why?
I would have a mom and dad. Well, a mom and dad that wanted me.

14. Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics?
Oh, I'm sure I have lots and lots of annoying habits. I stutter and I fall a lot. I pull on my shirts. I don't know, I just do lots of awful things.

30. Who has had the most influence on you?
Gabe. I was so sad before him.

90. Name three things you consider yourself to be very good at, and three things you consider yourself to be very bad at.
Good at? Soccer. Hm, playing guitar. And I think I'm pretty good at Morgan. Yeah, Morgan is a talent. He's not easy to read, and it's not easy to get him to relax and come out of his shell. It definitely is an acquired skill. Things I'm bad at? Conflicts, I get too mad. School. Life.

76. Do you smoke, drink, or use drugs? If so, why? Do you want to quit?
No, definitely none of the above.

17. How much schooling have you had?
I'm a senior in high school. Nearly out of here. I think I might go to college next year, which was never part of my plan, so that's interesting.

42. What are your religious views?
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

70. What is/are your favorite hobbies and pastimes?
The same things I'm good at. Soccer, guitar, and spending time with Morgan.

51. Is there anything you absolutely refuse to do under any circumstances? Why do you refuse to do it?
Hurt Morgan. Because he's everything, and I want him to always trust me.

80. What would you do if you had insomnia and had to find something to do to amuse yourself?
I would try not to bother Morgan. I'd watch some tv, read my Bible, listen to music. But if I really couldn't sleep and Morgan didn't have to wake up early, I'd ask him to stay up and bake cookies with me or something. Or like. Have sex.

49. How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings (i.e. do you hide your true self from others, and in what way)?
Oh yeah, I really keep a lot in I think. Even with Morgan, sometimes I realize I'm upset and not telling him for no reason at all. I guess I don't want to burden him, and I'm usually upset about my family and I know he blames himself to some extent for them not accepting me.

91. Do you like yourself?
I think I'm alright. I think I could be better. A better boyfriend to Morgan, a better son, a better brother. A better disciple of God. A better example of God's love to the people around me - a man will be known by the fruit he bears, and I don't think I'm bearing much fruit.

89. Are you generally organized or messy?
Pretty messy. Morgan helps keep the apartment neat, or it would probably be a total disaster zone.

I guess I was kind of bossy, but I think I was mostly normal. I looked after my sisters and stuff. I was your average kid.

55. Who is the person you respect the most, and why?
My mother. She's strong, and has so much integrity. I've never met anyone more brave and powerful than her.

78. What makes you laugh?
Me, laugh? Never. No, I'm just kidding. My sisters always make me laugh.

96. If you knew you were going to die in 24 hours, name three things you would do in the time you had left.
I'd say goodbye to my sisters, sign everything I own over to them, and then have something I really want.

59. What do you look for in a potential lover?
God, this is so hard to answer. I don't know. I try not to look at people as potential lovers at all, because I'm a horrible lover and I hate to disappoint. But if I had to name traits that I look for... someone who I can see a future with. And someone who just wants me.

30. Who has had the most influence on you?
My father.

11. What does your voice sound like?
Low, kind of even, a little bit raspy sometimes. Husky, I guess. It's not special.

71. What is your most treasured possession?
I don't think I really treasure any of my possessions. My badge, I guess, because my job is so important to me.

98. What three words best describe your personality?
Serious. Committed. Loving.

35. When was the time you were the most frightened?
Once, I reported to a hostage call and the guy was holding a little girl at gunpoint. I've been in so many tense situations, but that one shook me to the core because I felt so helpless.
