Dress You Up In My Like
"There." Chris snapped the barrette into place in Pauline's hair. The bulk of it was cut into the shape of a beamed triple-eighth note, taken from an old vinyl that had been chipped into non-usage. A scraplet of silk ribbon flanked it, with croche embroidered into the fabric. She admired her work for a moment, then draped her arms over her girlfriend's shoulder and kissed her cheek.

"Thanks for being so patient." The two were already down to the giant t-shirts portion of the evening, Pauline having come to spend the night, which had turned into a hangout session for most of the girls, who had since been shuffled off. Still working through the soft drinks and junk food, Chris had jumped into cobbling something new together.

	Chris cuddles her for a few moments more, before sliding her hands down either side of her waist. "Think I could ask you something else?" Her fingers drum gently against her through the shirt (some little tune Pauline had launched into telling her about when explaining musical notation earlier), skirting the small of her back. "Well, one question, and then a favor, really." She grins, putting her head on her girlfriend's (she's getting really fond of that word) shoulder. "You think it's weird that you make me feel normal, in a good way?"

She lets that question hang in the air for a moment, before letting one hand keep drumming, and the other tug a sleeve of Pauline's shirt enough to expose some collarbone, which she kisses slowly, but not exactly gently. "Would you mind taking off your clothes?" She fights off a telling smile.

	"I mean it. Dating you is really nice. X-Men, evil robot siblings, freaky emergent 'proper' mutation... it all just fades into background noise. "Flatterer." Chris grins, touching her forehead to Pauline's, as she finds what she was feeling around for.

And a measuring tape gets looped around Pauline's waist as Chris swings around to face her, a happy expression in place. "I know I keep throwing designs at you, but it's all been just stuff I've done by eye so can I please get all your measurements so I can get to work on something really nice?" She blurts it out, grinning like a fool.

"That would be sacrilege, sweetie." She smiles and tugs Pauline gently to her feet, grabbing a stray notepad and marker as well, as she gets down on her knees and pulls the tape snug.

Then she notices the black and white printed grin she's about at eye level with, and lets out a chuckle. She looks upwards with an amused smirk... which turns into a somewhat different smile. The kind that one would associate with a forehead sloping as one returns to one's caveperson roots for a moment.

Yes she'd been able to tell as much even when the shirt was on, but it was still a very nice view.

	Chris clears her throat. She absolutely had not just grunted after looking up. Of course not. "No." She says smoothly, taking Pauline's measurements about her waist and hips, fingers taking their time working their way over her. "Not the foremost thing on my mind." 	Chris licks her lips, smile stretching out as she slowly works the tape around Pauline's hips, then snakes it around a thigh. "None so far... I'll need to keep looking." She leans in and brushes a soft kiss right where fabric meets upper thigh. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Chris purrs as she slides the tape along the full length of the back of Pauline's leg, parting from nuzzling against her only long enough to get the measurement. "Mmmm. 	"Yes, although the teensy bit of possessiveness in me is glad you don't shed your clothes on stage as easily as DJ." She gets back to her feet and kisses her softly on the mouth as the tape measure goes around her back, fingers tickling the edges of something round and delicious. Two somethings, actually. 	She holds the tape in place and diverts her attention just enough to jot down the measurement for Pauline's bust, before dropping the notepad and tape and carefully pouncing Pauline onto her bed, cuddling up against her. 	Chris manages to take her hands off Pauline long enough to raise them over her head, as the two are now about equally dressed, although Chris has black and pink tartan at eye-level with Felix.
