Scott!
Delilah rocked on her heels outside of Scott's place as she waited for him to open the door. She hoped that it was alright that she was there, as it was some what of a surprise. She had said that they needed to get together before she left, but just decided that it should be now. Charlie and she were currently in a stale mate, no longer actively fighting but nothing really solved either. And she just didn't want to think about it anymore. So what better way to just forget about it than to show up on her boyfriend's doorstep with a bottle of liquor (since she couldn't cook anything edible and it would be rude to show up empty handed) and a plan to spend the evening together.

And try once again to convince him to come with her, which if she was honest, was a completely selfish thought, as she knew his sister was going through a rough time as well and he was needed at home. She really couldn't blame him at all.Scott was amazing to have around. Delilah had yet to spend time with him and not have a good time. That and he was a bit of good luck charm for her. She always dueled better when she had someone in the audience she was trying to impress. Also she was secretly terrified of these subspace highway things she heard him talking about before, it would be nice to have some one who knew what they were doing.

"Hey, I hope you don't mind me coming by unannounced." She said when the door opened, instantly smiling at the sight of Scott. "Are you busy? I was hoping we could hang out or something..."

He'd be the first to tell her that the subspace highways were loads more convenient (and less messy) than the floo networks. Scott blinked when he spotted who was at the door, shoving his hands in his pockets.

"...yeah, you can come in. Vicks is out for a while." He wasn't going to tell anyone else where she'd gone for his sister's sake, but -- well, whatever made her happy. It wasn't as if the two of them -- Victoria and Ian -- hadn't gone out together before. This was just a little different as far as Scott knew; his sister had a different look in her eyes.

"Nobody's home, actually. Ava's gone to a friend's house." Which was -- more or less accurate.

"Whole place to yourself, huh? The quiet must be a nice change of pace." Delilah said stepping inside, glad she wasn't interrupting anything.

"Sooo, it's been a crappy week." She said honestly jumping right in. "And usually I just like to curl up on my couch and listen to bad shows on the wireless. But I just didn't want to be alone this time around. That and I'm leaving on Monday, so spending time with you before then is important."

She shrugged a shoulder and gave him a coy smile. "So what do you say? We could make a drinking game out of it?"

At least she wasn't -- crying. He'd had to deal with Victoria sobbing onto his shoulder for an hour or two a day, and he wasn't sure how long he could deal with that. Hopefully her going to see Ian would help. Scott couldn't help the slight laugh as he ushered her inside and toward the couch, brow raised.

"How long are you gone for, again? I can give you some tips before you leave, if you want. Some good subspace highway routes, that kind of thing." He dropped down onto the couch next to her, draping an arm around her shoulders.

"I could use a drink or two after watching my sister drain a few bottles herself."

"A couple of weeks. Should be back around the first weekend in December." she said with a small sigh as she put the bottle she was carrying on the coffee table. "I'll take all the advice I can get. This is my first time across the Atlantic. I'm kind of nervous about it." She said leaning into his side as he put his arm around her.

Delilah frown a little at his last comment. She felt bad for his sister. How terrible she must be feeling at the moment. "I hope things get better for her soon. Quidditch boys can be so stupid. And The Tattler helps nothing." She said just a bit bitterly. She leaned forward to grab the bottle. "Cups?"

"Ah--" He muttered a quick accio so the cups that were sitting in a pyramid on the nearby table floated over to them, glad that his sister had left the clean ones out and easily accessible.

"It's something she's kind of been expecting, I think -- but there's a difference between knowing it's coming and actually having it happen, I guess." He tilted his head, curious.

"I don't have to talk about Vicks' problems, though. You said you've had a crappy week -- do you want to talk about it?" He sometimes felt like he more or less existed to be a sympathetic ear, but then again ... his sisters had had a lot of problems during their teen years.

Delilah poured Scott a drink before pouring one fore herself and taking a long sip.

"Charlie is being... he's being.." she wave her hand a bit at a loss for a word to describe what her brother was being. "Stupid. He's acting foolish, and I'm the only one who seems to care, or think its an issue."

She stared at her cup for a moment. "I don't like when we aren't getting along, it throws me off a bit, but I don't like what he's doing and I can't just ignore it. So that just leaves us in this weird stale mate, as there isn't much I can do about it." And talking about it wasn't helping as much as she thought it would. She took another sip of her drink.

"Let's not talk about our siblings. It's sad, and I don't want to be sad before I leave. Let's talk about how graceful I looked tripping over my dress, or what you know about the States and Canada. It really is a shame you can't come be my tour guide."

"If it were any other time of year, I'd be all over it -- it's just that with everything going on with Victoria on top of it being a pretty busy season of quidditch, I think it'd be kind of unfair to leave her in the lurch."

He smiled, though, and took a sip of his own drink. "I'm sorry about your brother. Sometimes, as stupid as it is, you just have to try and be as supportive as you can and maybe try to figure out why he's -- doing whatever it is that he's doing, acting foolish as he is." Scott was probably the least confrontational sibling to speak to about this kind of thing.

"I understand. It's selfish of me to even ask. Maybe next time, in the summer." she thought aloud.

She looked up as he made his suggestion about what she should do about Scott. He made a very good point. She had suspected that there was some underlying issue, perhaps she should try harder to figure what it was. Delilah leaned up to kiss him. "You're very smart. He'll be fine hopefully. And if he's not by the time I'm back, well I'll just have to do what you say, and snoop around to figure out why."

She took a sip of her drink before setting her cup on the coffee table. "Sooo, what shall we do with our time together? I'll be gone for a while and spending it talking about our siblings doesn't seem very productive to me."

"No," he agreed, rubbing the back of his neck. He wasn't 100% sure what she was implying, but it seemed like the way things had been going they should probably take their relationship to at least the next level of intimacy.

Now he just had to not admit that he'd never really had to be an active participant in such a thing. For all that he seemed to get a lot of attention from women, he wasn't all that great at actually seducing people.

"I wouldn't say no to a trip in the summer, though." He took another sip of his own drink and returned the kiss, shifting a little on the couch to face her.

"Well, we are all alone." Hopefully that sounded ... alluring.

"That we are..." Delilah agreed, not being able to help but smile a bit mischievously. She cupped the side of his face with her hand as she kissed him again, this time longer and deeper, but still a bit hesitant.

There was something about Scott that was so very different than any of the other guys she dated. Nothing bad, if anything it made her like him even more, but it just made her actually slow down and think about what she was doing. She liked what she had going with him and certainly didn't want to scare him off by being to pushy or demanding.

She pulled back just enough to give him the opportunity change the direction their night was heading in if he so desired to. "We could listen to whatever we wanted on the wireless." she joked, trailing her hand down his chest.

He raised an eyebrow, a little confused for a moment whether or not she was being serious or not.

"If that's what you want, but I'm thinking that it's not." Since she was the one who was being aggressive with him and everything. Scott brought his hand up to toy with her hair absently, smiling. "I'm always kind of shocked that you want to be around me at all, honestly."

He was used to his sister's friends using him for ... physical comfort, or a sort of release after games. That was more or less.

Delilah sat back on her heels a bit, blinking at Scott, caught completely off guard by his confession. Why wouldn't she want to be around him. Had she some how failed to show him that she really enjoyed spending time with him.

"Hey." she said quietly, pulling his hand from her hair into hers. "I really like you. A lot. Of course I want to be around you. Like when ever I see something fun I want to do, I immediately wonder if its something you'd like to do with me." If she just wanted to hook up with him, she certainly wouldn't have waited this long to do so. Leading guys on just for that was just cruel.

She leaned in and kissed him softly. "This means a lot to me, its not just some game or something."

"I guess that's just not what I'm used to -- uh, not that it's bad. At all." It wasn't -- in fact, it was refreshingly nice. Scott gave her hand a squeeze. He was aware that if she'd just wanted to hook up with him she'd have done it, but he was also wondering when she'd figure out he wasn't actually all that exciting.

Loyal and reliable, actually, but -- well, kind of constant, aside from the love of exercise.

"But that's -- good to hear."

Delilah's lips quirked up into a smile. "Well you should get use to it. I'm a bit of a selfish person, and I don't plan on letting you go any time soon." Loyal and reliable is exactly what she needed in her life. That his calm demeanor really balanced out her overly excitable ways. She noticed that at her loss that was right after they met.

She pulled him closer to him, kissing him soundly as she ran her free hand through his hair. "That is, if you don't mind too terribly having a slightly neurotic dueler hanging around constantly."

"I don't think that's much of a problem for me, actually. In fact, I quite enjoy having you around." She was always exciting, that was for sure. He leaned into the kiss, not bothering to say much more against that. He knew it wasn't attractive to constantly self-deprecate, even if it was still kind of a habit.

"And I don't think you're neurotic, for reference."
