Bram's efforts succeeded. The final vampire fell to one of his bullets. His proficiency in hunting them made an impression on Marie. He was clearly experienced with this. Now that she was safe, Marie approached the man that saved her.
"Thank you," she said. The Creole accent was still a little thick with her. "I'm not sure I would've survived if you hadn't shown up."
