Albus enjoyed his time bartending when he wasn't auditioning for a show. He got to play a character and he got to meet great people. It was a job that he thought everyone should have at least once in their life. It was an exciting lifestyle and he got to flirt with lots of boys every night. It was great.

Only tonight, it was one of the slower nights and there weren't a lot of people around. There were some showtunes playing in the background that he was singing along to, but other than that, there really wasn't anything going on. He looked up when a boy walked in, looking very unsure of himself. The other boy was actually kind of adorable.

He waited until the boy approached the bar, which was several minutes after he'd come in and stood in a corner, then smiled at him. "Hello, babe. What can I get you to drink?" He gave him his best charming smile.

Scorpius felt nervous. He had just discovered that he was gay and he thought this was a good place to start, but he felt so... intimidated. There was loud music playing that he didn't recognize and men dancing to it. And now a very attractive bartender was calling him babe. He hesitated. Why did he have to be gay. "I.. I don't know." He told him. "What do you have?"

This was too adorable. Albus gave the boy a menu and looked him over. "I can make you anything you want. I promise." He glanced at another person coming up for a drink. "I'll be back." He promised him, then walked over and filled the other person's order as quickly as he could, then slid back down to see if the boy wanted anything. "Decided?"

Scorpius looked down at the menu with all the weird names for drinks, then thought about what his grandfather liked to drink. "I think I'll just take some scotch." He told him, taking a seat at the bar. "I think that's good, right?" It wasn't too gay.

Albus laughed at that and shook his head. "I'll make you a real drink." He told him, then made him a drink that was much better than scotch. He gave it to him, then watched him take a sip, grinning. "You'll thank me later. No one here drinks scotch. This isn't a gentleman's club. It's a gay bar." He crossed his arms over his chest. "I'm Albus."

"I.." Scorpius liked the drink. He bit his bottom lip. "I'm Scorpius. Thank you. For the drink."

"You can make it up to me later." Albus promised him, then winked when his favourite song came on. "Excuse me." He ran to the stage and started to perform it with three other men, dancing and having a laugh.

	Albus looked at Scorpius and grinned. It was a slow enough night. He could afford to do this. He shook his head and walked around the bar, taking Scorpius's hand. "No one ever got anywhere in life by hiding." He pointed out, then wrapped an arm around Scorpius's waist, pulling him close. "Would Ariel have ever gotten Prince Eric if she'd stayed in the ocean?" Scorpius glanced around the bar and then at Albus again. "That's Disney, right?" he asked. "I mean, I can work my way up to coming out of the water. I don't need to jump out right away. I'm sure her sisters were all pretty happy under the sea."

He liked being pressed this close to Albus, but it was still intimidating. Albus was obviously outgoing and comfortable and totally used to being gay. Scorpius had no idea. Scorpius hadn't even kissed a boy before.

"I'm sure her sisters were happy to be under the sea, because they weren't as strong as Ariel." Albus pointed out. "And I bet they were really jealous that Ariel could be apart of both of their worlds. She could be who she wanted to be and still be apart of what they wanted her to be."

He smiled. "Should I use a Mulan reference? Because her family definitely wouldn't have been happy if she hadn't taken what she wanted."

Scorpius really did not want to think about family and how his would feel about all this. They would not be like Mulan's family. He was the oldest twin and he was gay. Really gay because he really liked being pressed against Albus like this. "I think I get it. You think I should be more out-going."

He looked at Albus for a moment, not sure how to actually accomplish the being less shy thing. "What do I need to do? I can't sing. Can I finish my drink before you make me do whatever you're going to make me do?"

	Scorpius blushed when Albus kissed his cheek, even though he felt silly for doing it. "I like it a lot," he said, smiling at Albus. "I think I'll probably need another one before the end of the night." He forced himself to relax a lot, leaning against the bar. "I've never been to a gay bar before." 	"I'm not afraid," Scorpius protested. "Just... unsure, I guess. My family is a bit strict. I haven't told them yet. I wanted to make sure I was sure before I let them know." "I was really reluctant to tell my own father at first." Albus admitted as he looked at Scorpius. "He was mad about it for a while, stopped talking to me. The whole thing. But, eventually, he decided he loved me and that I was his son."

Albus stared at Scorpius. "A boy as beautiful and handsome as you has never been snogged? That's tragic. There's a bar full of gay boys here."

"Why not snog someone tonight." Albus asked, looking Scorpius over. "It's your first night at a gay bar and there are plenty of different types of people. Surely you should find one of them attractive. Carpe Diem! Yolo! Tonight let's get some and live while we're young!"

Albus grinned at Scorpius and shrugged. "About a month or so of not talking to him at all. We live in a world where gay men can have children. I don't see why you being gay is a problem."

Scorpius laughed at that. He didn't want to have to go out and meet people. Albus was nice. But he'd feel a bit pathetic if he spent the whole night talking to him. Albus would end up thinking he was a sad baby gay. "Just making sure I heard right."

He leaned against the bar and looked around the restaurant again, smiling at Albus. "Do you see anyone you think is attractive?" he asked. "I don't know what my type is yet."

He shrugged and poured Scorpius one more drink. Albus pressed it into his hands and smiled softly, then leaned in and brushed their lips together softly. "There. That's your jumping off point." Scorpius liked being kissed by a boy and maybe he didn't want it to just be a jumping off point. Couldn't Albus just... take a fifteen minute break and go somewhere quiet to snog with him? Scorpius smiled at the other boy. "I like my jumping off point."

He took another sip of his drink, feeling very comfortable sat right where he was at the bar. Did he apologize for monopolizing Albus? He didn't want to.

	Albus smiled at Scorpius and glanced down at his watch. "You have fifteen minutes to find someone more attractive than me to snog." He informed him as he grabbed a rag to start wiping down the bar. Well that just... Scorpius wasn't sure if he should try or not. Should he look like he was trying? Maybe he should just stall. "Do you judge if they're more attractive than you, or do I?" he asked.

He gave the bar residents a once over. There were some cute boys in the bar. Ones who, like Albus, looked like they were trying, but not too hard. Was that a type? Scorpius liked that type. "I don't know. This is hard."

	Albus grinned at that and then glanced at his brother as he came in for his shift. "My brother is here to fill in. I have to go to the back and clean up before I can leave." He winked at him.
