Night Driving- Thomas
Chasing down a lead on a drug ring had brought Sam to Gotham where he had run into Thomas again. After busting up the ring there the ringleader had already left and was headed Hub City. At least that's what they guy thy had scared into telling him had said. So they headed out to try and catch him.

Sam let Thomas do the driving since he still hadn't learned to drive himself. After several hours of late night driving they were both starting to feel pretty tired.

"Very true," Sam says, "But that's why we have Wonder Woman. She's practical as strong as him and man can she kick some ass." Supes not preparing for that kind of thing was kind of silly.

He personally thought Wonder Woman was preachy but then again he didn't view most of the senior crimefighters with awe. "I always wondered how that lassitude of truth worked. Does it not only compel you to tell the truth, but also compel you to talk? Because if not and you just shut up it's kind of useless." Although some people were just really chatty. He should look into the lasso thing, Batman would have notes somewhere.

Yeah Wonder Woman was a little preachy but then again he did live with monks so it didn't bother him to much as long as she didn't try to force her beliefs on him. "I would get compel to talk but have never had the pleasure of her tying me up to find out," Sam says jokingly. But most crooks he knew would not likely snitch on there own like that unless really scared but then why would you need the lasso.

Wonderful thing about masks with lenses was that your eyes could glaze over during the preaching without her noticing. "It can be arranged," he laughs, taking the opportunity to poke fun at the other half of the Brave and the Bold teamup. Although he agreed on the really scared criminals turning snitches. Which was pretty obvious from the methods they used in Gotham.

"Sure I'll take you up on that," Sam says smirks, "But you get to go first." He could definitely poke back.

"Ah, but how do we determine who wins?" Thomas liked it when people bantered back. At least when there wasn't serious work to do.

"Well I thought that was pretty obvious whoever reveals the more embarrassing secret wins," Sam says grinning. Even tired Sam would not stop bantering back.

"You mean whoever reveals the most embarassing secret loses," he corrects with a smirk. Because will vs. lasso would be interesting. And he wasn't sure which of the two of them had more embarrassing secrets than the other.

"Sure yeah that," Sam says, "Should be interesting." He was kind of curious to see what happened with all of this if this somehow did happen.

"Guaranteed," he agrees. "Wasn't there a Wonder Girl on the YJLA? She doesn't have a lasso does she?" It didn't seem like it'd be a common thing but it was good to know.

"Yeah there is on the YJLA," Sam says, "And I have never seen her with a lasso."

"Would've made things easier," he shrugs. "How's team life?" He wasn't on one now, but had been on more than enough in his universe, he wanted a break from that.

"Most teams do. If they didn't it'd be a problem," he points out. He knew Batman had always made Gotham a priority over team stuff.

"Yeah I guess that is true for most," Sam says. Though the JSA seemed a bit stronger on the team stuff.

He shrugs in agreement. In his universe he'd been on Young Justice and the Teen Titans, both of which were rather casual teams. "Although the Justice League, even the one you're on I'd guess, is a bit more serious than most teams." At least he assumed because to him the Justice League was supposed to be serious.

"I guess they are," Sam says shrugging, "But definitely not as serious as the older Justice League."

"Some of their meetings? Dead boring. Especially when one gets on a roll." Sometimes he'd be in the cave or over at Babs's during these meetings when either Oracle of Batman was joining in via video conference. But he'd always liked it best at Oracle's because they'd mute their side and joke about it.

"Yeah I usually just sleep during them if I have to listen," Sam says. Connor never had much issue with that. Possibly because of some of the things he had done at school while bored during a lecture.

"I'm sure they appreciate that," he chuckles. Although he'd tried to limit the length of team meetings when he'd been leader. Because he hated meetings really.

"I doubt anyone would kick you off as long as you keep shooting straight," he shakes his head a bit. "But they might not be so nice in the ways they wake you up to compensate for that."

"I would hope so probably should let them know I'm pretty good at hitting things too," Sam says, "But they had better make the waking me up part worth it." Sam usually did not do so well with the waking thing.

"But for that sort of thing demonstrations are necessary. Those are always fun," he smirks. Proving you could hit things? Not a bad part of the job. "Careful what you wish for. People with powers like to wake others up in...interesting ways."

"Yeah they really are a lot of fun usually," Sam says happily. He forgot how tired he was for moment there thinking about it.

"Very true," Sam says nodding in agreement, "You just need equally interesting ways of waking up."
