And! Thanks to doombuggie getting me to the piercer today, every single one of my piercings is intact. I DIDN'T LOSE A SINGLE ONE TO SURGERY. I know to those of you not into bodymods, it may seem like a strange thing to get hung up on, but for me it is a major identity issue. It's psychologically equivalent to the way most women would be with their hair. Losing my piercings would have been like having my head shaved. But now they are all back in place and my face looks like my face again, and it makes the whole gallbladder ordeal seem less unsurmountable.
