Fucking hell.
My power was just off for almost 12 hours. I was sick and miserable and kept coughing up phlegm... it felt like I was spitting up jellyfish. And it was so dark and still. Well, until 4-something when my smoke alarm started making this nonstop noise... which the overnight maintenance guy refused to come look at. I called in a work order when the regular office hours started, but it wound up shutting up on its own somewhere around 10; I actually was able to sleep a little between 8 and 10. If it hadn't stopped, I'd still be waiting for help!

God, the ice cream in my freezer is likely ruined, although I didn't open fridge nor freezer the whole time.

Ugh, I still feel sick and rotten but at least I'm not utterly isolated in the dark anymore. *hugs internet*
