Private to Harry
I know it has only been a few days, but I miss you and everyone else already. Mostly, however, I'm worried and curious about how your sessions are going. They are going well and you're cooperating entirely, aren't you? I've read a few of the correspondences of yours through the journal and things seem a bit better, though it sounds like you're still a bit paranoid about being alone and it being quiet. Maybe, if it's getting to you, you should stay at the Burrow or someone could come and stay with you other than Kreacher.

Private to Ginny
I wrote to Harry, asking how he is, but I know him well enough to know that there are time when he'll say he's fine or sugarcoat everything so we'll believe otherwise. But I also know that you can usually see through that masquerade of his, so how is he?

Private to Ron
You'll be pleased to know that I'll be able to come to the Burrow the evening of Christmas Day. I tried to convince mum and dad to let me go that morning, but they were adamant about me staying home during that time. But they also suggested that you could come over for dinner Christmas Eve if you wanted to. Of course, I'd understand if you had other plans, especially since all your family comes in during Christmas, but I'd like it if you did.

I'll have to check with Mum about Christmas Eve but I'm glad you'll be around Christmas Day. I miss you already, 'Mione.

Er, do your parents... do they know about us?

If you're unable to, I'll understand, but I miss you as well.

I sent an owl to mum several weeks ago and told them, so yes, they know about us.

I'm sure it'll be fine. I want to see you and I hardly think they'll miss me for one night.

Oh, so, they're probably going to ask me a lot of questions then? I won't have to have "the talk" with your father, will I?

I miss you, very much. As much as I am happy to get away from Hogwarts, I do miss having my (non-Weasley) friends around. But it must be nice to see your folks; how are they?

I had my session on Thursday, and the next is Monday - she came right to Grimmauld and we sat in the parlour like it was just tea time between acquaintances, which was slightly odd. She kept telling me to relax back on the couch, and I therefore defiantly sat a bit straighter. But otherwise? It actually wasn't too bad of an experience. She's a very nice woman, a smart woman. I can't really say much of anything, though, since she simply asked questions about my history, but I did resist smart arsing that she could call Rita Skeeter and find out from whatever trashpile book she's writing and save me the bugger of all of these questions. So I suppose we'll see how it goes in the next session. And the next and the next and the next

Actually, I am at the Burrow, save last Thursday night. I just - hear the noises of the night and think that the house is under attack again. Though last night, I "read a book" in the living room quite late while Ginny also "read a book" in the same room which turned into several hours of sleep on the sofa together that I desperately needed, Mione. But please don't tell Ron. Please. I almost like it better at Grimmauld; at least I know that place is a fortress. And I'd only have to protect myself.

There's my lengthy update. How are things with you at home?

Had I known that you were going to write me a novel, I would have asked how things were going much sooner than today. Nevertheless, I am glad and very relieved that things are going well with your sessions so far. I know you're not very fond of people asking for your life story, but I suspect she was asking you to try and get to know you for herself; she could have asked Rita Skeeter for her version, but it sounds like she's trying to be fair about it and see you for you. Try and be nice to her and do give her a chance before attempting to run her away. Remember, this will be good for!

I take it Mrs. Weasley is glad you're there? She's always preferred you to stay there over anywhere else. Since reading seems to help you fall asleep, I should send you several recommendations.

Things here at home are very quiet. Mum and dad seem to be enjoying spending time with me, but they're so used to their daily routines that they sometimes forget to include me. Not that I mind, mind you, I have plenty of work to keep me busy, but I find it amusing, actually. I invited Ron for dinner on Christmas Eve and he said he wasn't sure if Mrs. Weasley would be able to spare him, but I'd like for you to come also if you can get away.

Ginny quotation was, "How else can she help you if she doesn't know what she's helping?" Still, it wasn't exactly my idea of a good time to talk about the Dursleys at length - and honestly, what does the eleven years with them have to do with anything that happened in the war? Oh, well. I'm giving her a chance.

Molly - I am to call her Molly now, did I tell you? - I think would like me to never leave her sight. I'm one of her ickle wickles now, and her wounded one. This means lots of food and lots of spontaneous hugs. Oh - and licking her hand and trying to smooth my hair down. Hermione? Make her stop that. As for the books, actually I've got a whole stack of books on DADA. It's how I pass the time at night, reading them. Not too bad, actually.

Well, you could always shoot flares out of your wand to remind them, if you were so inclined. At the very least, the quiet has to be a nice change from the Head Girl non-stop routine at school. As for Christmas Eve, I think I might be able to make it - Ginny mentioned something about Neville and his Gran coming, but I didn't really catch it, something with knitting? - just let me sort it out and I can let you know within a day. Unless Ron would rather he be with you alone. Hmm.

Ginny has a point, Harry, one that makes a lot of sense. Eleven years of living in a cupboard and with people who only gave you the bare essentials has more affect on you than you might realise. They neglected you, Harry, that's not natural and will likely play a part in her overall assessment of you.

There's not way to make Mrs. Weasley stop anything when she sets her mind to it, you know that. And she does it because she cares and she feels she has to make up for all those years where you didn't get the same thing from your Aunt and Uncle. But, Harry, I'm sending you some books that aren't about DADA. You need to read something else!

I'm not sure my parents would appreciate being scared by seeing flares come out of my wand. Though, as you said, it is a nice change from my normal schedule. I'm finally able to catch up on some other things that I need to get do. If you're unable to come, I'll completely understand. Just make sure you give me enough notice so that my parents can plan for it.

How is Harry...a mix of good and bad? He's not sleeping very well, but he's going out to see Lupin and Tonks tonight, and then tomorrow night, he and I are...well. We'll be together at Grimmauld. If he returns to the Burrow and still can't sleep, I'm going to talk to Mum. He's still obsessing over DADA things, he's still playing the Good Little Soldier role with everyone who wants a piece of him, but...he seems very earnest about getting help...though he seems nervous about being seen as "mental," which couldn't be farther from the truth. It's Harry...he's got pride for miles, yeah? At the very least, Mum is spoiling him rotten, which I think he not just enjoys, but he needs.

Anyway, otherwise things are good here. Percy and the twins came by last night, and they are due back with Bill and Phlegm tonight. It should be just peaches and cream here, until the twins insult Percy, and Percy gets huffy, and Phlegm does something that makes me want to screech. Just another holiday at the Weasleys! Wish you were here!

Literally.
